How does your game tie into the extra theme (optional)
Well, roots, root beer; it's obvious, right? I didn't feel like making anything specifically related to trees, so I made a cozy little game where you serve root beer in a bar!

It's a nice small game. Dragging the cups and such is a bit weird tho. If I move my mouse too fast, they get stuck in their position. But overall I like the idea and the vibe. Good job! :D

nice how u used 2d shapes to make a convincing 3d img and 2d img at the same time, howvwer it was a lil hard to rmb the order when the speech bubble went missing

Hey, thanks for playing my game! To remember what you need to do, the three sticky notes exist! They show the customers order. That's also mentioned in the tutorial :D

A really delightful game, I played longer than I expected I would.  And of course I pressed the button first thing. A delightful game!

Hey, thanks for playing my game! That's kind of what I intended with the absolutely not obvious mention of "do not press the button" :D

Great little game! I'm a big fan of Overcooked-style games, so this felt homey to me. I did have some trouble with the drag-and-drop mouse functionality, where sometimes items dropped or a different item picked up, even though I was holding the left mouse button. Taking it slow and avoiding moving over other objects while holding something seemed to help. This felt a bit adjacent to typical "cozy" vibes to me, like sort of "dark cozy" perhaps? Not sure if that was intended, but it was I think a combination of the darkish color palette and something that felt just slightly forlorn in the mood of the music. Execution of the music and art both felt great to me on their own, though, and I really enjoyed your concept.

Hey, thanks for playing my game! That's something I have also noticed during the creation of the game. For me, a cozy vibe isn't necessarily something super bright or colorful, and when I think of the term cozy, I imagine a somewhat darker room with very warm lighting. A friend of mine has also mentioned the dragging issues, though to me it seemed like it only happens on track pads (laptop). I couldn't reproduce it with my mouse. Thank you for your detailed feedback!

Nice take on the theme! I couldn't figure out where to give the drinks, even though I put them on the "place order" thing and clicked on the cash register, idk what else I was supposed to do. Maybe add highlights or some sign for interactable objects? I really liked the art and perspective too!

Hey, thanks for playing my game! You probably messed up the order somewhere. Usually, when you place a finished drink in the white area, it automatically sells. You don't need to click the cash register for that :D

Hi again from Jumpstart!!!

Decided to make every drink early on then give them all to customers! I also found out you can fill up multiple drinks at the same time, and if you put a straw on an empty drink, it turns it into the filled up foamless straw version! (probably a bug)

Nice game, but I'd recommend figuring out a better way to implement drag mechanics though, something like checking if something is currently being dragged then undragging when the mouse is released rather than undragging if the mouse leaves the hitbox of the object.

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing my game! That one with the straws is indeed not intended, thank you for letting me know! It should be "undragged" when the mouse is released, at least I remember adding that. Maybe I messed up somewhere! Thank you for the detailed feedback!! :D
