How does your game tie into the extra theme (optional)
The soup kitchen is nestled in the roots of a giant tree. The recently deceased spirits recount their lives, essentially returning to their roots before moving on to the afterlife.

Oh where should I begin... I don't even like that much these games that are just to pick and match stuff, and I thought I would be bored... Boy was I wrong! The dialogues are so rich that I couldn't help myself to keep playing until I reached the end. As a workaholic myself it hits right in the feels. Everyone should play this and read carefully these stories. This represents a lot of us, I'm sure.

Besides the wonderful idea and story, the art is cozy, warm and beautiful in every sense. The music is soft and goes really well with the rest. By miles the best ratings I gave so far, I really hope to see this game in at least the top 10!

Ummm when did Spiritfarer get a soup kitchen DLC? This was absolutely lovely to play. The art and music felt cozy in every way, and the stories got me misty. Beautiful entry. I've saved it in my "art goals" collection and gave you allll the stars <3

I loved the visuals and music! The story is interesting as well. My biggest flaw was that I didn't know what a scallion was... Took me more trial and error than I would want to admit.

Well damn. That made me really emotional to play through. The cafe style game genre is pretty popular but this one really feels unique and the art is pretty and the stories are really well done. Great job on this seriously.

You guys did a great job. I agree with the other comments praising you art and visual aspect of the game.

The theme of a kitchen between the afterlife is really interesting, I liked it.

I wish it was easier to see what the pot currently has and what the recipe requires, maybe use images or icons in addition to the names of the ingredients.

Thank you for the feedback! I definitely agree that the pot's contents should be clearer, but I wasn't sure how to implement that since it was my first time using Ren'Py. It's definitely something I'd like to polish up, though!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! A lot of the jam was just me rushing to learn Ren'Py and working together with the artists to put their assets into the game. I have no clue how it all worked out, but I'm glad it did!
