Thanks. With more than 2 hours I probably would have made something completely different. However, I will be using aspects of this game in other games in the future and expanding on them, so that more fun is coming!

That would have required a third hour of work! But honestly, it’s not a terrible idea for a future game that I make as a joke. 

Sorry, I design my games for Game Boy and never played them on a computer. But I think it’s the Z button that you need to press. I’m glad you like d the game however. Honestly, I don’t know what more I could have added to it if I had more than two hours. 

That’s sort of the beauty of designing something in 2 hours, it’s gotta be simple. It also helps that the last game I made and am still working on is also a one-button game, so I have a some experience making games like this. Limiting yourself to a single button actually allows you to be more creative than if you’re working with an entire controller, not to mention it makes the game more accessible to people with disabilities. 

Careful how you treat her at bridge, because I’d hate to see what she does to you at mahjong!

But yes, simple and stupid is indeed a great combination. I suggest you check out my Beatles Help game. It isn’t done yet, but it’s also a collection of one-button mini-games that I think you’ll enjoy. 

I honestly don’t know how much more I could do with this if I had more than two hours. Yes, I could have a title screen and maybe record best times, different sprites for the grannies, and maybe even difficulty levels. And you know what, I might even do that later down the road. But given I had so little time, I needed something that was simple enough I could pull it off, and I think the gameplay here is pretty much as good as it’s going to get, at least for this concept. Anyways, so glad you liked it. 

Sorry, I believe that on a keyboard A is the Z button. This game is a game made for the original DMG, thus the colors used are the colors on the DMG. 

It’s all good. Having only 2 hours basically is the reason why I made this game. I probably would have made something completely different if I had more time. Of course, I would have loved to make a game with more to it that I could later fully develop, but I still learned a fair bit from making this game that I will definitely be putting to use in future games. In fact, I may even incorporate a version of this into my Help! game I’m currently working on as it fits within my constraints of it being a one-button game and would be a new game play dynamic. 

Thanks. Honestly, I’m not even sure I could have made it any better if I spent more than 2 hours on it. Although after making it I sort of regretted using the ice cream truck song, Camptown Races probably would have been more appropriate.
