I think the intro is too long before we get a melody, but I love the general unease about it. It's almost unsettling. I do wish it built more! I listened for the bell, but it was so soft that I can see how it would have been missed or confused for foley. So, so good.
Thanks for listening and dropping some feedback!
RE slow build ups, it's actually critique even been getting on a few songs I've done for jams recently. Personally, I quite like slow build ups and getting that hypnotic effect going. Admittedly, there is a fine line between hypnotic and dull, something I'll work on :)
This is the song that very much inspired my track - "CGI Snake - Chris Zabriskie". Also has a very slow build up and sticks to the one idea. Would you say you also find this too slow? Listening to this now, there is definitely a lot more progression and movement in the background swells. It's subtle but it definitely makes the song more dynamic.
Haha, yeah had trouble finding a space for an aux percussion in my track. Just felt a bit forced and that's where I was okay incorporate it into the foley section. It ended up blending so well I can see what it's hard to miss.
Anyway, appreciate the comment! Will be sure to give your track a listen!
Hello! My auxiliary percussion is the little bell you hear before the airport announcement!
