Neat little game, I can see some potential for this. Few things to note, I was able to start the night without placing anything (I thought it was a maximize button at first), and then I could just place every card every turn, I didn't have to think.

Al in all, great submission!

this is so cool! It’s very cozy to build a camp site! Great work!

Love the idea of running a campground for cryptids. Placing my tent and then seeing a little visitor wander in after nightfall was a great moment. It would also be fun to see each cryptid's likes when you hover over them. Nice job!

Developer

When they are at your camp if you click on the cryptid a pop up should appear at the top and tell who it is, what they like, show their happiness and tell you what they are doing at the moment. Let me double check to make sure I didn't break it before publishing it lol.

18 campers, 1420 happiness, 25560 points. Not sure if it's good or bad. I like how it looks, but I don't think I understood all the mechanics.

That's great! my record is 26k. I wanted to add a tutorial.

You seemed to be doing it right thank you for playing! Anything suggestions on improving will help I plan on updating the game based on feedback and republishing the new version after voting is done.

I do actually have some suggestions. Some of it might already be in the game, but I haven't noticed, so my apologies if that's the case.

One is to add more mechanics around the types of cryptids and the buildings. Say they would get attracted to the building and stay near, but other surrounding buildings would affect their happiness. The visible affect range would be great. This would lead to the resulting winning map being more like a real camp with zones suitable for different visitors.

Second is to add some cards that would manipulate the cards/deck. So that you could add some specific cards to the next day's draw, copy cards, remove cards, etc. These might also have some effect as building, f.e. that they are favored by some type of cryptids.

So (I guess it's third) you can diverse your cryptids to types revolving around deck manipulation buildings, around building many preferred buildings, around making remote hideouts, around building and cryptid variety, etc.

I hope you'd find these ideas useful. Good luck!

Great submission! I liked the cute cryptid sprites. Nice to see the little description UI for each of them as well! Slap some music onto it and it could be a cozy sim game

Music was the one thing I sacrificed for time. I also have no clue how to do music so I stuck with what I knew. I agree though, I was listening to the lofi fall playlist someone sent to the discord and some of those songs hit while testing the game.
