Great lil' game, very good art and graphics and a good length for a jam game while not stretching itself too thin. Well done!

Fun game, it gets challenging but in a good way! Great ending

Great game! Took me a few tries but I beat it! The ending really made me giggle. The movement was smooth and it was fun learning how the coins are your weapons but also your life source and that you could pick them  up  when enemies knock the coins out you. Great mechanic that! There was a time when the background had melded with the foreground and confused me for a bit (see screenshot). Overall lovely and silly little game, great job!

Good game. Play with great care and caution. The black humor at the end is good.

Short and sweet, a fun game! Maybe a liiittle bit longer would be more fun. Having your health and ammo be the same thing was a great idea, I also like that when you get hurt you can still collect some of it back.  The fact that enemies can still kill you even when they're dying was a bit annoying but only happened to me once. The ending scene made me lol, that expression was priceless!

Really like the idea that you ARE your own projectiles, so tying your survival into your ability to shoot was a really fun mechanic.

Great job.

This has been my favorite game in this game jam by far. The controls are TIGHT, the soundtrack is catchy, the concept of using your currency (and health source) as an attack method is cool.

My biggest criticisim is that it is too short (and that's a good criticism to have for sure).

I have other nitpicks like sometimes being difficult to make out where you can walk, but overall, I loved this one

Developer

Thank you for the feedback Carlos! While making the game I didn't have high hopes that it would actually be good, so we made it short and did more effort on the art and music to make it alive. I'm glad you like it.

Short but super sweet!

Loved the games art style, it's both readable and very pretty! The SFX and soundtrack were maybe the best I've seen so far, and you can really feel the weight of the player character.

Pretty simple as far as platformers go, I enjoyed the sonic style damage system, but the ammo mechanics just weren't it for me. I had no reason to want to sacrifice my hp to kill the enemies, even in the sections where avoiding them was difficult, while I could retrieve most of the life I lost when getting hit, there's no way to get back used ammo, and with how easy it was to just dodge the enemies in almost every section on top of that there wasn't a reason to bother.  Maybe this would be fixed by letting you pick up the coins you shot? Not sure.

But even if the shooting was a dud for me the rest of the gameplay is still so up there that it doesn't matter! I adore the cutscenes they're so cute <3

Also, I don't know if it was intentional for sure, but the title just makes me think of Gerson and I have to give bonus point for that, it's just such a good pun.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad that you like the music and the game. I didn't get the Gerson reference, I talk spanish so I might be missing something. Although my teammate came up with that title

Coins doubling as health and ammo was a good mechanic. Had me thinking twice before every shot lol.

The controls feel great too, and the camera shake when you land gives everything a nice punch. Super satisfying to play.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, it’s like a survival platformer, though I don’t even know if that genre actually exists. The little details, like the camera shake and the game freeze, are what make the game feel alive

The game looks good! The main character, in particular, really amused me! The controls feel great! When I lose, I realize it’s well-deserved. You rock!

Developer

Thank you! I really like the main character too, Lionfirerr did a good job with the game's visual style. Making the game and sound was fun overall, I can't wait for the next jam.

This game works great! Simple and effective, but it took me a while to realize that I died because I ran out of coins x). After that, I completely stopped firing,  good job !

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I didn't intend for the players to avoid the shooting mechanic entirely. Perhaps I should have provided some kind of incentive

Awesome game, really fun! The animations were excellent really Super Meat Boyish, really sick!

Developer

yo! Thank you for the feedback Damcats! Lionfirerr did the animation and visuals, although I had a good time making the game and the sound

I like the idea of everything is controlled by coins like health and bullets, I think it would be cool if your final score was based on coins as well.

Developer

Thank you! I did implement the feature where coins are shown at the end of the game at one point, but I later had to revert to a backup and didn't add it back in. I felt the game leans more towards survival than arcade, and I didn't want to encourage players to avoid shooting entirely just to collect the maximum number of coins. Perhaps I could have added a point score for killing enemies.

cool game! I love the camera shake when you land. I also like the coin mechanic. Only problems I had with it are: enemy placement can be a little unfair at times (notably the first dragonfly enemy can't before you jump on its platform) and enemies can still damage you while their death animation is playing. Overall great work!

Hello FlamingSword. Thank you for the feedback!
