How did you interpret the themes?
Dealt in Darkness combines a dungeon crawler with deck-building strategy, but flips the usual perspective: instead of playing as the adventurer, you play as the dungeon, using room cards to shape his journey.

Very cool and original game :)
Feel free to try our game, we want to turn it into a commercial version and we need feedback.
Being the dungeon and dealing the hero his rooms is a great flip. My knight limped out of a Skeleton Crypt on 2/60 HP with the Fear multiplier at x1.5, and I had exactly one upgraded Healing Shrine to hide behind one door and a crypt behind the other. Watching him wander toward the right door for +44 HP was the tensest coin flip I've had in this jam.
This game is really fun. I love the style and the idea behind the game. I do think the game is pretty easy though and it being infinite does make it feel pretty tedious after awhile so i do wish there was a win. I also wish there was more enemy types. Another note i have is to maybe add a speed up function because watching him slowly fight 2 skeletons can get a little boring after watching it for the 10th time. Overall i did really enjoy this game though. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I definitely agree with your points, and I really like your ideas. These are definitely things I’d like to implement once the jam is over. I’m really glad you enjoyed the game, and thank you for taking the time to play and leave feedback 🖤
