How did you interpret the themes?
Shortcut Home! combines racing with resource collection and construction.

The goal is to reach the finish first, but players cannot simply follow the normal path. They must race around the level collecting wooden planks, then use those resources to build bridges across the water and create shortcuts.

This creates a collision between racing and construction/resource management: collecting resources and deciding how to use them becomes part of the race itself.

Our main theme interpretation is Genre Collision — Racing + Resource Collection + Construction.

The sealed second theme is not specifically referenced in our design because its revealed details were not available when describing our submission.

This would definitely fit nicely onto the VOODOO Games catalog. You should try pitching them this game

Here is some constructive feedback after playing your game:

  1. Display & Resolution: The game viewport is very small and formatted like a mobile screen on desktop, causing parts of the UI and buttons to be cut off outside the display.
  2. Menus & Navigation: There are no main menus, pause options, or ways to navigate or exit the game.
  3. Audio: The sound effects are quite harsh/loud with no settings or toggle options to lower or mute the volume.
  4. Glitches & Gameplay: Encountered several bugs during gameplay, and the core gameplay loop feels incomplete with a lack of clear goals or progression.

Good effort on making a submission for the jam! Fixes to the aspect ratio, UI scaling, and audio controls would improve the experience significantly.

By the way, feel free to check out my jam submission as well and let me know what you think! Good luck!

I think this would be a fun little mobile game to waste a few minutes. However i dont think this game is a good fit for a browser game just because trying to swipe around with a mouse is not smooth or intuitive at all. i think the game looks nice and runs well but its very basic and bland. Id love to have something more unique that that classic mobile game fall guys/stumble guys look. Overall i would say this is a pretty decent game. Great job!
