The premise of this is great, I love the idea of winning an argument by countering an opponent’s play with the perfect comeback. The actual game itself is a nice balance of simple and complex, and having three separate health bars is pretty unique. Cereal is in fact soup, hot dogs are not sandwiches, and straws have one hole, of course.
Monkey Island insult duels as a Reddit card battler is a fantastic collision. Holding COPE until Dennis opened with an Ad Hominem and seeing "EXACT COUNTER!" wipe it out felt exactly like landing the right comeback. The writing is properly funny too. "i did not make the rules, the STADIUM made the rules" got a real laugh out of me.
Liked the idea, but in my opinion, presetantion could be improved, like more stylized menu to choose fight, better ui, less text. And a tutorial to begin with would also be nice. But overall, funny, orginal, and good.
Interesting concept! I think it's about thread deadlock as a card puzzle? The name threadlocked is clever for genre collision (programming + cards). But I was really confused - no cover, no description, and no tutorial in-game. I clicked the cards but couldn't figure out the goal. Adding a simple how-to-play would help a lot! I can see the potential though.
this game is so fun, i didnt understand it at first because i dont play card games. but the replies are so funny. i will play it again in my free time.
