Cool concept overall, the integration of the detector SFX with the music was a nice touch; could find only 2 items, I'd suggest for a future version improving the feedback when the player is close to an item, but besides that, good job!

graphics are pretty nice, and the music is cool and kind of catchy! i like how you stacked the different parts to indicate the metal detector finding treasure. problem is, X didn’t seem to do anything! pretty disappointed i couldn’t dig anything up. :(
btw, your cover image should be made by you during the jam as well, but i won’t take points off for it.

Fun challenge. Although there feels like an accuracy issue between when the detector goes nuts, and when it actually lets me dig. Perhaps something more of a grid based movement or just a larger interaction area for a dig site would help.

In any case, the audio was nice, the detector worked well with the music, so much so that I didn’t immediately notice it wasn’t just part of the track.

Nice work.

I love the music. It's beautiful

Bestowed with the gift from my admittedly kinda shady mentor in a trenchcoat, I raced across Washington Park trying to find all the moderately moderate Old Gold before the timer ran out. Imagine my surprise when no consequence arrived. Was that what the old man was trying to teach me all along? Slow down, kid. Let it happen. See what you discover. All goals are illusions. You opened my mind when you opened your trenchcoat, you strange old man. I salute you. Maybe the memories we made along the way were the most moderate items of all.

Hey I quite liked this game. It reminds me of my days playing the Knuckles Stages in Sonic Adventure or digging for bones in 102 dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue!

The graphics are surprisingly detailed. I'm so used to sticking to the link (or Red from Pokemon) type of smoll sprite in overhead games that I almost didn't realise you could put detailed designs, wide shoulders and logos on hoodies in a gameboy sprite. And the music gaining a nice rythm when you're actually right on top of an object to dig out? That was a nice touch.

I did find it a bit weird how shrubs you can walk through, like something in the layering feels odd, it's like they're drawn over the screen not on the screen if that makes sense? But overall I really enjoyed this. Thank you for making it :)

The music connection to the metal detector was so clean. it meshed well with the background music and didn't get annoying or repetitive. This game was great! Biggest issue I had was that I would be on top of the thing and the interact button wouldn't trigger ~80% of the time, also nothing seemed to happen when time hit 0., but I still had fun wandering around
