Cool event driven adventure. And nicely laid out.
some golden bough vibes here. i love that!
The adventure looks like a bloodbath. Players are gonna go hard, the prize is well stated and very rich. It looks good for PvP too.
Anything in this runs smoothly. Thumbs up, gonna play.
Thanks a lot for you comment!
It looks like this is larger than an A5 page, so ideally, you'd cut the word count back (which isn't always easy!) to fit. Most of the first page, though, is probably inessential, and is in the "nice to have" category, rather than being mandatory for the adventure.
Extremely good font choices. Classic and thematic while still being legible.
Likewise, good layout (is it Explorers?), nice choice of art and good map. I'd also add credits to the file so people can know who's responsible for it all.
A number of typos throughout -- "The Elders know how to harness the Sanguine Storm crimson lightning" needs an apostrophe S -- but nothing that makes things unclear.
All of the treasures seem very high value to me. Player characters who finish this adventure are going to be set for a good while.
This is a very attractive adventure, but needs a polish run on the writing. I would have an outside editor go through it once the judging period is over and republish it. This has a lot to offer RPG groups!
Thanks for your feedback!
Yeah, I went for something that was too hefty for the format. I will try to rework the word count as much as possible so it all fits better, but I think I will also create a version that is in a more comfortable format and that also include some content I had to cut!
Yeah, the layout is Explorer's. Absolutely lovely to work with. And you, I absolutely failed in the credits section, my inexperience in the exercise is biting me there: It is cited in the webpage, but will be added on the PDF as soon as the jam ends.
Thanks for your encouraging words!
Beautiful maps! ... Love the premise of a hunt, and the dangers of the forest itself. Plus those factions who linger in the forest during the hunt, and those hunters who are a bit toooooo competitive. Lots of opportunities for the players.
Thanks for your feedback!
Fantastic layout with the left sidebar of NPCs. Great map, but the text on that page is quite small. Fun read and great at any table.
Thanks for your feedback! I'll have to rework the word count/layout, that is all a bit too big for a 4 page adventure... It'll be converted to a more comfortable layout afterwards :)
Thematic backstory. The NPCs are fleshed out nicely! Great map.
Would have been nice to have the rumors marked as true/false. Some small inconsistencies in the layout. Some Random encounters could be added when traveling from point to point.
Thanks for your feedback! All the rumours are supposed to be true, just not presented as objective truths like the facts section, and/or harder to acquire. Maybe the distinction doesn't make much sense though in this case...
I agree for the random encounters. That is a part that I will flesh out after the jam ends.
Very well written and full of opportunities for the PCs to interact with. Liked the factions and the map. Good work.
Thanks for your feedback!
This is a cool adventure centered around an event, I really liked all the thought that went into what secondary consequences an event like this might have, like the Skin Peddlers taking advantage of the suspension of rules to hunt people. The character portraits and the map are great.
Thanks for your feedback!
Who doesn't love a hunt?
A few favorite things:
I might have missed it, but it doesn't look like the Skin Peddlers (horrifying) are found on the map or in a random encounter. Maybe they dwell at the Hidden Camp, rather than the Cheaters who dwell around the clearing? I'd also be curious to learn more about the Sanguine Storm itself!
Very usable, great job!
Thank you very much for your feedback! For the Skin Peddlers, they were supposed to be more of a roaming, so a random encounter... But I forgot about that in the rush of things :( I'll update the document once the rating period is over :)
That makes sense! The post-jam tweaks are inevitable! :)
