I got soft locked in the ruins where you get the mermaid transformation I also got the sea monster form and now I it is not letting me swim.

Developer (3 edits)

Could you explain in more detail what happened and where and how you are stuck.
How excactly did you get softlock?
And what did you do to make it happen?

If you should be completly stuck without backup, I can offer to fix your save file.

(1 edit) (+1)

In the sunken ruins I pick up the music box and got the mermaid tf I also had picked up the deep sea pearl earlier so there was a sparkle and I interacted with it and got the sea monster tf,  I was then teleported back up the the first room so I went back down the stairs having not completed the mermaid quest the stairs back up was blocked and I could not use the dive ability that the mermaid form has so I was unable to reinter the water. (Note: I save every time I come across a save point so I have a save that I can go back to, thanks any way.)

Developer

Oh i see, thats definitely an oversight that can seemingly lead to a softlock. I definitely will fix that for the full relase next month!

Thanks a lot for reporting it^^

(+1)

You are welcome I am having fun and did not want the softlock to ruin the final game. :)

Developer

That's lovely to hear : )
And very understandable!

(1 edit) (+1)

Are the Tears of the Goddess renewable?

I accidentally sold 2 tears of goddes. Now I need them for a key.

Can I get them again?

I only have 1 now

Developer (1 edit)

Yes they can be gotten from two places.

You can buy them from the guild if you're reputation is high enough or buy them at the casino. They are also a ultra rare drop from Mimics.

Around 10 are findable in the game.

Hope this helps.

(+1)

thx

(+1)

I`m felling stupid. I dont have any idea what i need to do

Developer

That is one of the harder quests. In the desert you may have seen a not working stone monument near the entrance to the ancient capital.

For that you need the ability to use those stone monuments. As well as found all fragments of the broken key and repaired it.

(1 edit) (+1)

I alredy do that, and get that form. I just need go back to dragon?

EDIT: I got it

Developer (1 edit)

I see, then it was the secret quest. my bad. After getting Lamia and having found the Golden Jade (Which you should have since you have that quest) you need to touch the blue orb again while in Lizard form.

Developer

Great to hear^^

(1 edit) (+1)

I have some problem, I remember how that snow jaguars stole world fragment. They didnt come back it. I already finished tundra dungeon, and loot chest near a Serina home.(on north of tundra enter)

But i cant find it again.

and some extra questions.

What theme plays on lima boss fight? I have rpg maker MV too, so i want to add it in my music playlist - This is battle music 8 from Rpg music MV

I alredy have 27 forms? Its all or i need search for more

Developer

The one fragment that gets stolen in the jaguar story gets return automatically once you completed it. So you should already have it back.

If you missing one it might be another. Maybe the one in the extra part of the desert? You also can find a hint where all worrld fragments are and which ones you are missing in the forest of beginnings.

Dont know it out of my head but will look it up once I am back on my pc and write a reply.

The game can be completed with a minimum 10 forms. You dont need most of them for reaching the end. Seem like you got pretty much all!

(+1)

(+1)

Developer (1 edit)

Okay, the missing one definitely would be the one from the Ice dungeon then. How many do you have?

You did complete it and cleared the dungeon, i assume?

It also could be just a display bug in the quest. You can count them in key items as well to be sure. And in the save file screen as well I think.

(+1)

Yes i clear that dungeon

Developer (2 edits)

I looked and the music that plays in the battle with Lima is "Battle8"
Just saw you already found it. Yeah rpg maker has some real banger songs^^

I also looked for potential bugs with the world fragment but could not find anything yet. The jaguar quest returns your lost fragment to you like intended. And the Ice Dungeon also seems to work as far as I have seen it.

Did you still having this problem? I alsoways could take a look at your savefile to figure out the potential bug.

(1 edit) (+1)

I will appreciate that(sry if i say something wrong, bad English)

Developer

That's indeed odd the. I will look into it. Downlaoded your save file as well now.

Developer (2 edits)

Looked at it and it is just a display bug in the quest details. Will fix that with the next patch!

You have all five world fragments so you're save file is fine. You can continue playing without worry. Also no need to be sorry, englich also isn't my native langue either^^

Everything is alright with your save : )

(+1)

thx

Developer

You're welcome!

Feel free to ask if anything else should come up.

And thanks for pointing that error out^^

(+1)

How do you unlock Light kitsune?

Developer (1 edit)

It's one out of two possible transformation that you get in the final dungeon in the northern plains.

Depending on what you did and how many people you helped you either get the light or dark kitsune form.

(+1)

if you don't mined me asking how Do I do the dragon statue puzzle  on the snow owl and you made a amazing game

Developer

Tthanks, glad to hear you enjoy it^^

As for the puzzle: As you may already guessed each dragon needs to look at another dragon statue. There also is a fifth statue that cant be interacted with but needs to be taken into account as well.

Hope this hint helps a little bit. If you need a more direct hint feel free to ask!

(+1)

I saw in one safe, a dark ability(instead kitsune abilty). I tryed to get them in other safe, but nothing other happed. What i need to do?

Developer

I assume you refering to the kitsune form you get at the end of the game?

If so: Spoilers ahead.

Depending on your reputation and lit flames in the tower you get one of two possible tf's. Either the Divine or Corrupted Kitsune.

(+1)

I am trying to find Alwura leaves but I am struggling in figuring out where the creatures that drop them are. It's very possible I just haven't entered an area with them yet. Or if it's in a place at night. I haven't done much night stuff even with two items that  permanently improve night vision.  As it's still a bit challenging to see and I'm not brave enough to try and fight a certain boss in the fairy forest (it was unwinnable for me at the time). One thing I have notices is that If I didn't have the survive on one hp ability most enemies can randomly kill me in a single turn. I am on normal difficulty. Idk what I can do to not have me or my party members not get annihilated randomly. It doesn't exactly tell me if its a crit or not. They just use a REALLY powerful move with no warning. Unlike what most bosses do (though a few of them also have this issue Like that fey boss I mentioned). Anyway I have managed to figure out a bunch of things on my own so that's neat! I wanna talk about the stuff i'm thinking about but this isn't exactly a feedback chat so I'll leave it at asking for help with those things.

Developer

If I am remembering correctly the leaves are only drop from certain enemies in the forest (The one area with the fairy boss), time of day dosent matter for those. Night time is very optional for most things. But rare enemies can only appear at night, which can give tons of materials and exp.

Difficulty wise, it's hard to say anything very specific without seeing you stats, level, equiptment etc. But in genreral on normal most enemies shouldnt be able to one shot you, except you are underleveled or have equiptment with low defense stats. If you tell me the areas and enemies which cause you problems I probaly be able to give better help.

One tip for a few extra levels is: For each enemy you kill you get exp shards. Using them can give  decent exp amounts if you have a bunch. In town at the witch shop you can even enhence them to better version.

(+1)

So uh... I did return to the forest shortly after the post and I uh. Was very over leveled. I used the royal queen ability to "order" all the bees you commune with to attack and... She didn't get a single turn. This ability is so strong that later I found the first demon encounter in the story (I think) and it literally oneshot the boss with 14k plus damage. I assume the main reason I struggled so much early on is with my armor being too low? I am not sure. The main move that got me so much original with the boss in that forest was queens punishment. It hit REALLY hard and with it multi hit. My survive on one HP wasn't enough to survive. The only time I did was because I had a divine revive at full hp. I am pretty sure I did a lot of stuff out of order since the world is so open. With many things having multiple ways to progress. There's not too many things left that I have yet to do (as far as I'm aware). Anyway! I did get those items and completed the quest. I feel like the royal queen ability is a bit overtuned lol. But I do feel like it should be strong given how it's built around becoming stronger as you get farther and farther into the game.  I feel like that should be exclusive to the form it's tied to. Also be an ultimate for just how strong It is.

Thanks for the tips and stuff! I still have a lot to explore despite doing so much already. This game has so much content. Even with it being unfinished. It's crazy how much effort you put into it! Like I haven't gotten the form for those flowers. I haven't entered the volcano yet. I haven't gone to that sandstorm place. I haven't entered the casino. I haven't found a way to grow plants in those soil spots. I haven't entered any of the dungeons I found. I haven't entered the secret forest. Finally, I haven't completed all the quests for the guild. There is probably much more to what I haven't done yet. But for the most part I have done everything else that I could find and explore.

Developer

Great to hear that you managed to make progress^^

Certainly possible, defense is a very important stat to withstand attacks. Skills with effects like "Def Up", "Dmg Reduction", "Dodge All" or "Dmg Immunity" also can help out a great amount. If the blue haired elf has already joined your party, he can help a lot, he is a supporter who has some the strongest healing and buffing skills in the game. The also is another party member later who also can heal and revive while also inflicted various debuffs on enemies.

The Fairy Boss is actually one of the harder bosses you can find in the game. She has a few mechanics that make her tricky to deal with and some of her skills can ignore or invert defense (But I think she only uses those on harder difficulties). Her skills and stats also slightly change depending on what you already did on your save file.

And yes, the game is pretty open, most things can be done in any order and there are multiple ways to reach certain areas aside from the normal/intended path. A lot of dialogue and events even change to various degrees and some things get harder or easier depending on your path.

And yes, that Bee Skill is one of the strongest in the game but that is made on purpose. This skill only gets strong for people who actually take their time, explore throughly and collect all those bees. Players who ignore collecting the bees, don't have access to this powerful skill. If you only have a handful of bees that skill is rather weak after all. It's a reward for the effort and should feel powerful. At least that was my intend.

Also one small correction, the game, Adventure of Changes, is already completely finished if you playing version 1.1.6 (The newest update). It can be played from start to finish to 100%. The unfinished game is Jounrey of Transformation, which I am currently working on.

And thanks a lot for the praises^^
I would say the game has a great amount of content. My estimate is that a first playthrough takes around 15 to 35 hours. Times would strongly vary based on difficulty, optional content player skill etc but a rough estimate. Also, if you ever should have trouble or any more questions, feel free to ask.

(+1)

I remember earlier on in my playthrough that it was mentioned in several areas that they are still fairly empty but have stuff worth exploring. I have gotten over 20 forms so far. Idk what that special ??? Thing you get for achieving that is yet. My human form is currently level 59 or 56 I think. I will say I do feel VERY rewarded for collecting so many bees. At this rate Ima become a megalomaniac lol. Personally I feel like it being an ultimate and/or tied to the bee form is more balanced but still crazy strong and rewarding. But maybe not since it's something you have to go out of your way for, idk. I do think it is one of the cooler skills you can use because of the mechanic behind it regardless! I love all the little secrets and references. There is this expensive necklace that costs 333.000 gori that I can't buy even with the money. I want it so bad, it's taunting me... Idk where to go to buy the Mansion. I don't have the money yet but I def wanna get it. Assuming you even can buy it. I also haven't figured out how to remove the dragon orb I equipped at the start of the game lol. Or find out what that goddess tiara does. I haven't found a way to use my kitsune form yet. With getting a special item for it. But maybe I need more tails for that. Speaking of special item. I haven't found the dog forms item. I went back to the place I found it and the forest of begining but no luck. Probably being blind lol. There are still places I haven't gone to yet that I know about. Most certainly a few I haven't found yet. I can't express enough just how impressive this game is to me. It honestly feels like a proper rpg (almost older zelda game like with the puzzles and backtracking). Going around the whole world seeing what new things you gain access to with each form you gain. It's pretty close to being exactly what I want with transformation. Each form changing how you can interact with the world. Same for how those forms effects the ways the world interacts with you. Even how the world interacts with itself. Which this game has it pretty darn close to exactly that. Ontop of being able to change forms freely. Giving you a crazy amount of variety in terms of play styles. Ontop of the classes, items, and companions. The story has a good mixture of serious and silly moments. I love the art you did for all the characters, monsters, and transformations. Which I can only imagine how much you are improving every day. Some moments I got stumped for a bit. But I managed to figure it out!  I do find myself prefering to avoid fighting since enemies typically don't disappear when you beat them. Which I only find an issue with it being a tf quest where you are going around an area you are trapped in. Sometimes they do disappear but most of the time they don't. I don't mind them coming back and behaving like the non-disappearing ones after clearing the place/finished the tf quest. Giving more insensitive in fighting with your newly acquired form. Not only to make exploring safer during the quest but also might help in balancing the exp you get across all the enemies towards the bossfight. I'd also have loved more out of battle unique sprites for those places during that tf quest instead of the usual blue flame spirit one. Honestly I feel like all of this could go for any area you aren't allowed to leave until completing the objective. Other than my own moments of struggling to figure things out and a lack of knowledge on how strong I should be for a given area (and a chunk of grammar/spelling errors but those don't happen very often in terms of just how much there is). I don't really have any other criticism to give. 8/10 game in my book.

Developer (1 edit)

It's not impossible that I simply have forgotten to remove a few of the demo signs. Before version 1.1.6 the game even still said it was a demo at the start of the game. If you can remember where you saw those messages feel free to tell me and I will remove then with a update later on.

Yeah level 50+ is definitely extremely well leveled! And thanks for the feedback I will make a note to see if I add a restriction like the Ultimate Gauge to it.

And to answer some of your questions: Yes it is possible to buy a house later on. It was a feature added in version 1.1.0.

Getting the dragon orb at the beginning of the game is actually a bug. It's not meant as a equippable items for all playable characters, that's the reason it is locked from removal. Same goes for the Goddess Tiara. Those two items belong to one specific character who can use them. I will make a patch soon which will make it removable.

Some TF Equipment Items are not in the same places as the form, so some are more difficult to find than others. The one for dog is part of a side quest if I am remembering correctly. And Kitsune can be unlocked as a playable form, you will find it eventually!

The reason for enemies not disappearing is actually a techincal one. RPG Maker MV is known for having some troubles with memory usage. Don't know if this is because of a plugin I use or just the engine itself in this case but erasing Enemies after a fight bloats up the games memory. Which leads to game crashes so I try to avoid that as best as possible. A workaround would be to give every single enemy a unique switch to make them disappear and spawn but that would open a whole other can of worms. So this is unfortunately the best solution I could come up with.

Zelda games were one of the inspirations as well for the game design. And I absolutely agree, more character and tf artworks would be a nice addition, just taking long to draw them, that's mainly the only reason why there aren't that many. Also if you like my art and want to see more of it. I have a Furaffinity Account where I post SFW TF Art. https://www.furaffinity.net/user/furandre/

As for spelling mistakes, feel free to screenshot them or write them down if you feel like it. English is not my native language so any mistakes pointed out are always welcomed!

Also thanks a lot for the feedback and praise. It's very appreciated : 3
The text was pretty long, if I failed to respond to anything, feel free to say it again, I probably overlooked it then. Also some of the mentioned problems should have been fixed in 1.1.7 now.

(+1)

I love the responses! It's really nice chatting with you! Sorry about the rather long messages. I have a habit of writing a lot of things on my mind.

I believe one of them was the South West plains and maybe north plains being another. I'd have to start a new playthrough to find them. Which I do intend doing after this one.

I did play a bunch! I wanna max out all characters, classes, and forms. Which is likely going to take a LONG time lol. I assume you are talking about the bee skill. If it feels right in testing the. Yay! If not then that's fair!

I did see the house one and got it, unfortunately it seems more decorative focus over functional. But at the same time I don't mind that very much. I was mostly talking about the mansion which might be unobtainable? I am not sure yet but that is definitely a goal I would go for. It could even have a tf inside! Like a maid themed one (totally not biased)! Speaking of houses, it would be kinda cool if you could turn that forest of beginnings place into a proper build your own home! Though that might be a tall ask given how much there already is.

I guess I am rather unlucky in equipping that item early on lol! At least the tiara wasn't equippable for me so I didn't have any issues with that!

It's very possible I just keep missing that side quest because I feel like it should be available after completing the dog form quest. I can only imagine how many things I missed like that lol! I do look forward to encountering the kitsune stuff! I currently have 4 tails but just in skill form hehe.

My main thought when I was trying to talk about the monsters "disappearing" was specifically for places you are locked into. Like one of the transformation quests. Where it goes back to the normal permanent enemies that you can fight over and over after completing said quest. Maybe instead of erasing entirely, you could just move it into an off screen box temporarily? Once the quest is completed they go back and no longer get moved to Said box. Giving the illusion of clearing the area. It also could behave like how you did those enemies in the snow area town? I wish I could do more to help with that as I personally think it would help in the enjoyment of fighting enemies. But, I'm not a game dev so my ideas are imaginative at best lol.

I love the inspiration choices. Zelda is definitely a good one! I'd happily wait as patiently as I can for the enemies and characters to get proper sprites and stuff. Assuming you enjoy spending the time making all that. I don't want to make you feel pressured into that if it's too much of an undertaking. Regardless! I 100% am watching your furaffinity like now! I love both sfw and nsfw tf content!

I'd have to restart to get the screenshots for the spelling mistakes which I def wanna do eventually as I hopefully did a good job on implying I was do such early in this post. I think you are doing a lovely job for English being a second (or third, etc...) language. It's my only language and I am not THAT good at it either haha!

I love giving feedback and praise! Especially to things I really like! I think you are really cool, and I'm looking forward to your current w.i.p. game!

Btw, is there any way to get the mansion and/or that 333.000 necklace in the towns armor shop

Developer (2 edits)

I don't mind at all! I also find it pretty nice^^

So there was on in the south western plains. Will remove that as well then in a future patch. The one in the northern one is now replaced with a more fitting on in the new version 1.1.7. Thanks for mentioning it^^

Certainly quite a task! The level can go up to 999 I think. But for sepcial unlock like weapon skills etc: Weapons Mastery gets their last Skill at level 60, which usually is the 2nd Ultimate. For Transformation the last ability is gotten at level 50, which should also e the 2nd ultimate, if I remember correctly. All levels beyond that are just for extra stats to get stronger.

Yes the house, mainly just serves a decrotative purpose. The mansion is unobtainable since another person will buy it later in the story. Like you already noticed, the house already has not much practical use, so a mansion would have even less. Besides spending even more money I would not have found a good purpose, so I never made another place besids the house buyable. Maids are certainly nice. If I ever come back to this game to make some additional content I keep that idea in mind, thanks^^ As for the forest home, tehre are a few things that can be bought for it, but yeah nothing really grand like building an entire house there.

Yes I was talking about the Special Skill that lets you call the Bees. With version 1.1.7, it now has a ultimate cost of 50 points. Feel free to tell me how that feels.

It was a oversight on my part. There are always bugs i miss. So thanks for noticing and reporting. It should now be fixed in 1.1.7. Feel free to tell me if you can use that equipment slot again.

The sidequest can only be gotten after the dog tf story. The only other requirment was, I think, enough reputation so that the quest shows up in the guild. It could also be that thres another requirement that I have forgotten. Don't know the exact details out of my head anymore, since its been a while but in worst case I could open up the game and look it up. The kitsune stuff is even part of the main story, so it can't be missed, except you decide to skip the story dungeons (Which is possible.).

Unfortunately it wouldn't be that easy as just moving them but as I said before. It is techincally possible. It just would require a lot of time and effort to change the system, which I currently don't have. But I can imagine, improving on those those in the distant future. I learned a lot of new ways to program stuff from my current game project. I can imagine revisiting this game later with all my new knowledge and skills.

I could imagine coming back to the game (Adventure of Changes) and adding some unsued and new additional content in the future. But currently I am working on my newest game (Journey of Transformation) so if definitely won't happen any time soon. But it might happen in the distant future. I am just a Solo developer and Artist so I unfortunately don't have the time ore energy to work on two games simultaneously.

And thanks, I'm glad to hear you like the game : 3
As for art, there is a lot of tf pictures on my art account, most of them are fluffy and a decent amount of them are also fox/kitsune tf's^^
And no worries, fel free to provide any spelling mistakes if you like but don't feel pressured to!

As for the necklace, yes it is possible to buy. But it requires a certain party member in your party I think.

(+1)

Thank you for the fixes! I'll have to figure out how to export and import savea but it's definitely worth it!

I wasn't aware the max was level 999! Talk about a crazy grind! I think I'll stick with just going to second ultimate and maxing out the skills themselves. Assuming none of those have super high levels. I'll consider that satisfying enough for gaining my "full power!" (Man I wish I had a cool power like the main character does)

A bit of a bummer that the house is exclusively decorative. It would be nice to have a few neat things for functionality. But overall I do really like it! Honestly I don't mind not being able to buy the Mansion. As long as we get to enter it and have a fun tf filled adventure inside hehe! Maybe even make some friends and get access to cool things specifically inside the mansion!

For about a week I won't have access to a PC so I'll have to wait a bit to try it out but it sounds a whole lot more fair than before haha! No more cheesing bosses and such! But still a really strong and cool ability. I am curious, why isn't it exclusive to the bee form? Over time I have grown to not mind it as much. Especially with this new ult requirement. Which isn't very expensive either! 50 sounds fair!

I am very happy to hear we can unequip those items. It was rough not being able to use other things for different builds!

Idk how much there is for guild stuff. I believe I have like 500-400 reputation. Somewhere in that ballpark. It's very possible I just haven't run into the requirements for the dog Item quest to happen.

I figured it wouldn't be that easy of a solution. It's cool to hear you have learned a lot with making this new game. I find it rather enjoyable and I am happy to dive into more stuff when I get back to that PC.

I am more than happy to wait for you to work on your current project. Especially since I am enjoying that project too! I just hope I'm not putting on too much pressure. Last thing I want to happen is you to feel burned out!

I haven't looked at your art that much yet but the brief glances look nice! I do look forward to seeing the fluffy cuties!

Interesting, I'll definitely find out who that person is when I get to that point. For now, there is plenty of stuff still left for me to do!

Developer

Right under the download button are instructions on how to transfer save date between versions: https://furandre.itch.io/adventure-of-changes

Support Skills don't have very high mastery levels. For dmg dealing skills it can strongly vary. A lot of them can go very high. I would just recommend level them as high as you feel like. Besides lower coodowns and higher dmg, the mastery isn't changing anything else. It's just a extra way to increase utility and dmg.

Because it was meant as a special skill that any form can use from the very beginning. Theoretical I could have used any other type of small critter instead of bees, I just found it fitting and bees are adorable. Bee already has its own complete skill set. It would extremely unfair if only the bee form could use it.

With 400 to 500 reputation you are on a good way for having acces to most of the guild quests that have no special requirement. Just make sure to check the left walls of the counter in the guild as well. Some quest also got posted there.

No worries, it's not like that I would be forced to impement any suggested ever made by anyone. Even less for a game that is already finished. I always only pick things which also sounds interesssting or fitting in. So no worries! I also take break months every now and then. The next one will most likley be November where I taking a break from developing^^

Fluffy stuff is what I draw most^^
