Hi everyone! 👋
About nearly 6 months ago, I released a very early tech demo for my hotel management simulation, HO·MA·SIM, right here on this platform.
Since then, I’ve been working hard under the hood, and I’m super excited to announce that HO·MA·SIM has officially reached the Pre-Alpha (v0.2.0) milestone! 🚀
The game has evolved from a basic technical proof of concept into a fully playable, bustling simulation. I am currently looking for a few testers who enjoy management games and would love to take this new version for a spin, break things, and share some feedback.
🏨 What’s currently in the game? Instead of just relying on spreadsheets, HO·MA·SIM simulates every single guest and employee physically in the world (I like to call it the “Wuselfaktor” or bustling simulation!).
Here are some of the core features you can test right now:
- Complex Hotel Operations: Build your hotel tile by tile. Setup 4 different guest room categories, lobbies, and staff rooms.
- Full Gastronomy & Wellness Loop: Build a kitchen, restaurant, and bar. Watch waiters take orders and chefs prepare them. Or build a pool and a gym where guests dynamically switch equipment.
- Deep Staff Management: Hire 8 different job roles (from cleaners to spa counselors). Manage their schedules and watch their morale – if they get too exhausted, they might quit!
- Tech Tree & Progression: Gather research points to unlock new rooms and passive bonuses.
- Dynamic Events: City events (like concerts) will boost booking requests, while anonymous Hotel Inspectors will visit to rate your hotel for Gourmet Stars.
- Technical Foundation: A seamless Save/Load system is fully implemented. You can save at any time and every guest will continue their exact walking path and current order when you reload.
🎮 How to play / Where to test You can download the current Windows, Linux, and Mac builds for free on my itch.io page right here: 👉 https://angelus2010.itch.io/homasim-hotel-manager-simulation
I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on the UI flow, the balancing (especially regarding money and guest patience), and of course, if you run into any weird bugs.
Feel free to drop your feedback directly in this thread, using the in-build bug-reporter or on the itch.io page.
Thank you so much for your time and support! Built with Godot 4 and a lot of coffee. ☕
Yours, Angelus2010
