I really like the music and the look of the tree. (I like Leaves dancing with the wind and Quietness the most.)
Hey DaMonkeyPy-Gamer, I’m so glad you liked the music and the artwork ^^ Quietness was the first of the sequence I was really happy with (^e^)’ but as I think I told another user, I ended up enjoying one with a sadder note which didn’t enter the game (it was supposed to announce the end of Fall and the coming of Winter) and which you may find in the extras on my SoundCloud album for the game’s OST.
Thanks for reviewing! :D
Probably the first educational game I've seen in the jam. Very great submission! Good work! I love being able to choose what soundtrack to listen to
Thanks very much, Proobly! We have encountered a few others about mushrooms and leaves as well, but not much more. Besides the educational aspect we really tried to provide a cozy environment via the artwork and music, it’s really great that you liked it so much <3
Its cozy and a cool idea to make something educational. Also love the little squirrel
Hi Moon_Town! We thought about the educational aspect for our own selves too (^e^)’ We have a plethora of flora in our country and we realised we didn’t know that much about the different types of leaves now starting to fall, so since this was an autumn game we took the opportunity to learn as well ^^ thank you so much for playing! :)
Amzing music and art, and the game overall, good job!
Much appreciated, Dooont! Thanks for listening and playing :D
probably the chillest game I have played so far and I learned a lot about leaves! win win!
Oh gamingwithjulesk, you’re too kind! It’s so nice you enjoyed it <3
Nailed cozy and relaxing - good vibes. I love the DJ too, good work!
Thanks anarchistdev ;) it’s nice to know DJ Woody’s music resonated with you :D
Very cozy atmosphere. The music is the focal point of the game and for good reason! The UI and sounds are all very well made and I enjoyed reading about the leaves in the book. The gameplay itself feels a bit like a side aspect. Very well made, I enjoyed!
Thank you so much, I Am FourSquares! I personally blush about the music reference… and I’m sure the rest of the team received your words with a warm heart. The gameplay would have been further developed should we had more time to do so. Therefore we targeted to make a very simple game that provided more ambience than things to do… ;)
Our team is delighted you liked our little game, Thegm26 :D we did our best to fill it with some good fall vibes <3
Lovely game! i really liked the art and music design (especially the lil squirrel which has great easter egg potential by clicking on it lol)
As mentioned by other people as well it would be nice to have a goal with the leaf-pedia, maybe collecting all the leaves.
Really appreciated, myxsss! We indeed have plans for the squirrel (we just don’t know which ones yet (^e^)’, but we want it to do something for sure). As for the herbarium, yes, a progressive unlocking system is on the horizon, tied to the number of collected leaves of each kind. Let’s wait for the end of the jam :) thank you again!
Lovely little game! Love the fact that you can change the music that is playing! Maybe the learning aspect could have been beter implemented maybe with like a popup or something.
We thought it’d be a nice feature too, Ctrl+Chrisie ^^ we’re so happy that you liked it! We’ll see into the learning part, maybe have some animation play whenever a certain goal is reached with a particular plant species ;)
Oeh yess that would be fun!
Well, the art is so cool and music selection is a great idea !
i would love to have tiny objective while the leaf pedia is well implemented.
Nice fall tiny game :>
Really nice that you liked it, chtichoko :) we hope to add a little goal to the game, and perhaps a leaf counter, after the voting period ends. Let’s see if we find the time to do so!
I loved the music with the bird DJ!
Thank you, chaorrupted! Our little DJ is blushing! :D
cozy as Hell. that wood pecker? fuck yes. live laugh Loooooveeee that woodpecker. squirrel is a fellllla. music picking was fun, the peak part, books cute. match stick? thats cool.
now i do gattta say, i didnt quite get the gameplay but um. yeah.
that tree though? the sky? good stuff. im lookin and im seeing good things.
Hi ShimmyBailey, the gameplay was quite simple: you just collect leaves into the basket and learn about them in the herbarium while listening to (hopefully) cozy music :) we’re glad you still got to appreciate the game contents!
Nice art and a lovely sidekick with the dj magpie :-)
Thanks Boronho, our little woodpecker was a blessing, we are happy his idea decided to “land” on one of our tree’s branches! ^^
Hey, here are some thoughts in no particular order:
Good job!
Hi sovium, there is a control for music volume when you interact with the bird, it is set at 70% from the beginning. We indeed have a few goals in the horizon to possibly implement after the jam. We also felt that need but didn’t have enough time to materialise. Thanks a lot for taking the time to write your thoughts!
Love the fall vibe and the leaf knowledge! Nice game!!
Thank you pirawan :) we appreciate your feedback!
This was such a relaxing experience! Loved the coziness and the bird was so cute. The soundtrack fit the game perfectly and the information was interesting! Great work everyone!
Fabulous, ReiKodes! Those words bring us so much joy <3
nice game; i really liked the dj bird!
Thanks a lot, subhissel! ;)
Really loved this! The art and music are really nice and as an ecologist with a deep appreciation for plants I really enjoyed being able to learn not just the identification of the different plants by their leaves but also some of the relationships with them :) This is exactly the sort of game that I also hope to put together so it was really cool seeing this be so well done!
Well Sleepy Treefrog Games, what an honour having an ecologist appreciating our herbarium! We really hope we did it right ^_^’
Nice sound effects and the camera movement was cool! Super cute and the educational aspect was very creative!
Our developers made a great job with the smooth camera transition, amethystjewelia, thanks for noticing that! This is not my department, so I’m also thankful for their work :D
