As a fellow dev, I'll focus on the pros and cons :)
Pros: interesting premise, has a decent vibe, music fits great!
Cons: UI readability is lacking and would love to see human art (I like art so maybe this is subjective).
Overall, the game has potential, but I would appreciate more engagement towards the player and some quality of life tweaks (aside from art). First, I'd suggest the player-related UI in battles to be always visible (on the side?), same for the enemy. The log could be at the bottom, always shown, while options you scroll through. Something needs to be done in regards to constantly having to scroll up & down to see your variables.
Readability needs some work - maybe larger font, and frames for some parts that are always present etc.
Would love to see more depth to the fights - like some enemies requiring direct attack, and others parrying (as someone pointed out, parry is always what you want to do). And maybe the messages would then say - this is ineffective etc. so the player learns and tries what works with different types of enemies. Currently, it is just go-go-go, a bit repetitive.
Finally, speed up the dice roll! Would love to see some way of telling the player what is the limit on the roll and such maybe. Currently I have no idea what's going on (and players of these games do like to know heh).
Overall a good starting point, and might really shine with more work!
