Hi! Please download the game directly from the itch.io page using your browser instead of the itch app. The Windows version should work normally that way. Let us know if you still have any issues!
Honestly, I don't know yet! XD I'm very new to all of this.
Until you mentioned it yesterday, I didn't even know itch.io had a desktop app! I still haven't looked into it yet.
Since we released the demo about two months ago, pretty much all of our free time has gone into developing the game (and we're currently aiming for v0.3 in about a month =D ), so I haven't really explored that side of itch.io yet.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention, though! I'll look into it when I get the chance.
So I'm not a dev so idk what exactly the upload process looks like, however this problem has happened before with a different game I play where the dev also did an update and then the desktop launcher wouldn't update the game. On the itch page for the game in the download section next to the file size there are supposed to be icons showing which file is compatible with what devices. windows, linux, mac, android, etc and if its hosted by a third party site such as megafiles it shows an icon saying external. Anyways I had brought that to that devs attention and they said they forgot to choose the icons in the upload section of something, hope this helps.
