This might be good for RPG, I am not sure how the throwing coins works? Is it for the lights, I think it could have been useful to hit or distract enemies.

This feels like a vertical slice of something truly great and original. One of my favorites no doubt!

The battle system is quite intriguing, I feel like it could be expanded into something pretty unique!

I am literally shocked you managed to do this on gbstudio...

And making a pokemon game where you have to sell your teams to upgrade the others is diabolical xD I really loved it though! The game has gorgeous sprites and a depth I wasn't expecting at all! I ended up getting really attached to my legendary Tanit, just like you level up only your first pokemon xDD Which made the moment I thought I mistakenly sold it heartwrenching!

Genuinely think the game has a crazy untapped potential! Only low was that I cheesed through the game without really understanding the fight system, and only spamming what was available. There seemed to be special abilities only for some coins that I didn't need to understand to win, so I feel like that's the kind of thing that could be developped on a larger game :D

Congrats on making it, hope you had fun!

Thank you so much for this lovely comment!

Your feedback on the battle system is really helpful.

I enjoyed this one a lot! On the face of it, this game is super charming and has a nice, clean, simple visual style but the true value is in the gameplay, which goes out of its way to be unique and somehow manages to pull it off.

It drops you into several different combat mechanics, throwing and retrieving the coin on screen and running a coin shop where you gradually learn to spot the fake coins, something a little akin to papers please but with coin salesmen.

It got a little confusing and slightly overwhelming sometimes but if you go with it and learn the mechanics, it's smooth sailing. There is some real depth here, which is crazy given the time allowance and the rules of this jam.

Awesome job! If you ever make this into a full game, I'd love to play it more.

Really appreciate your detailed feedback! Glad the coin shop felt like Papers Please, and I totally agree the mechanics can be overwhelming at first. Super happy you’d be interested in a full release!

very cool that it runs on an actual GB, a lot of art and stuff for a jam too, very impressive

Congrats on finishing your game, I like it! The battle mechanics are cool. Could use a little more polish, but maybe that's just the limits of gbstudio?

Overall really cool, cheers!

the game seems right, it has a soul, i wish it were more complete but it is almost a pokemon with coins, i like it
