Permanently losing units between waves is a very interesting choice, and I like that it forces you to choose upgrades that give short-term benefits instead of investing everything into money generation. However, I think balance-wise it’d maybe benefit from being able to buy new units over and over up to a limit so that you can’t softlock by losing everyone in one battle. I’m not sure if the cogwheel in the corner is a debugger menu or an actual aspect of the game, but the Restart Battle option in that menu does not return any units that died in the previous attempt as well.

I agree with the others, this game is peak, also addicting so i had to stop just so can play the others.

Oh thanks a lot for the kind words :)

Very fun idea! Well executed.

Thanks !

I had fun with this! The pinball combat idea has a lot of potential. A bit more polish to how each hit feels could make it even more satisfying. Great work, keep going!

Developer

Thanks a lot ! What would you recommend about how each hit feel ? :)

The core idea and gameplay is super fun! and the use of the genre collision was very creative!

However the presentation really doesn’t do it justice, the cover is not representative of what the game offers, the UI is also way too busy especially at the start, which is important for first impressions. Other than that it’s a great entry!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback ! I was not sure for the cover 😅 did it in 3 seconds with GPT.

Ah yes the intro / tuto should be more fun instead of this boring text panels.

'll rework it.

Do you think it would work best on a phone or laptop ? ( I personally enjoy on the phone )

I tried it on phone, main issue is control, you should pull back on the ball instead of forward to draw a shot, with a level padding to allow space (like a bg wall), also UI like health and others are not very mobile friendly, they need some polish

For cover I recommend a screenshot from in-game with overlayed polished, 3D, shadow drop arranged text, using your image as reference and letting an llm agent open an offscreen game to select a camera position and screenshot it. This will prob take a bit of setup but once done it is fast, and reproducible: make the llm make a script to generate screenshot in-game and overlay text, that way when you update the game you have the ss cover pipeline ready, this can also be done for in game screenshots and generalized into your other games so I think it’s definitely worth doing.

If you are interested I can share some of my game repos where I do it partially or share a concrete generalized solution for this. Supper Guard is a good example of this you can check, the cover, gif, screenshots, even the trailer used a variant of this method. Send me an email if you’re interested I have contact on my page.

Sorry for late reply ! Yes curious to see it ! It's useful ! :)

Using a pinball shot as the command for an auto-battler is such a fun mix

Developer

Thanks !

It's cool, but there are some questions about the balance. The design is weak. But the idea is perfect.

Developer(+1)

Thanks ! Yes I guess I can iterate on the balance ^^
