Honestly, this is a very strange approach to engaging with an audience. Not releasing a single update in half a year, keeping development a secret, and not feeding the anticipation of the audience, the people who genuinely like the game. Wrapping it all in a veil of mystery, with the desire to deliver as much content as possible rather than releasing it in portions. It seems to me that with this attitude toward his own audience, there's a pretty good chance of losing it. Maybe I'm in no position to judge the development, since I'm not a developer and can't say for sure how much time it takes to create something large-scale and high-quality. But his communication raises a lot of questions. Well, we'll just have to wait, as that's the only thing left for us, since the developer hasn't provided any alternatives. In any case, thanks to him. He's done a great job, and the game is super high quality. I've never seen such a high level before. P. S. Also, he won't let me into the Discord, and it shows something like "Oops, an error occurred" or "Failed to connect to the server." Other channels let me in.

Literally from the Russian language:
"Ooops... Unable to accept the invitation"

Sadly I won't blame him for abandoning the game. This community is pretty dreadful, complaining about communication while they themselves communicate like spoiled children.

You realize its only that way because the original outline was update every two months, and now this has taken over a year, and it took him 6 months to even explain he's pretty much remaking the whole game. Dude sucks at giving progress reports. You give what you get and if you suck at communicating doen't expect your audience to pick up your slack

Hello there,

While true that communications have not been great, please refrain from giving misinformation.
1. Is not over a year, last content update was in February.

2. There was an initial release date which was missed but some sneak peeks had already been given. Then the release was changed to this year for the amount of content that was going to be in it, which was advised since then.

Hello there,

the game is not abandoned and to every community there is bad as there is good. Extremes of both sides are what are really bad.

It is not a matter of good or bad. It is about the endless waiting. I am sure many people check the website every day, monitor the developer's social media, and are met with nothing but disappointment every single day. I certainly am.

Consider the decision made by the developer and the consequences of that decision. As information has already been shared that this person decided to remake the game from scratch, it sounds completely unreasonable and extremely strange, especially given that many people enjoyed the game just the way it was and simply wanted more content. On top of that, this person (I do not have the exact details) did not even consult their audience and went underground for half a year, feeding us update screenshots every couple of months! Screenshots, bro! For a Unity game, half a year with no updates is absolute madness.

I repeat, it is not my place to judge since I am not a developer, but I am speaking as a fan of the game, and it is very sad to watch all of this. Still, I am 100% sure I will buy it on Steam. If I live that long :)

Is not an endless waiting, this is not the only game to have a date set for a year. The game has gone through reworks but is not made from the ground up, the looks changed, the game loop didn't. Again, communication could have been better but saying it went underground for half a year is not true, about the teasers, what's wrong with screenshots, is a unity game, not a renpy visual novel, this is a project done by a single person from a less than indie studio (around 5 people). Even big companies release screenshots and some videos from not in game visuals( which is not done here since there is no "cinematic presentations".

Agreed, the discord is a cesspool and a constant circle jerk, you can't be critical at all you can only sing praises. I swore off supporting this team BECAUSE of the lack updates and transparency personally. I'm only popping in to see IF the update actually releases. I;m expecting this to be another Planet Lust shit show in the end

We actively welcome constructive feedback and critical discussions when they're grounded in facts rather than hostility. Kal remains focused on delivering the upcoming update with the same quality as always and more. You are entitled to your own opinion but refrain for calling others a "cesspool" and misinform saying criticism is not welcome, that only praise is allowed.

Doc, let me into the Discord. I even promise not to talk to anyone there, just to keep an eye on the news :) Above in my post, there is a screenshot of the error I get when trying to join the server via your invite link.

The joining of the discord is not restricted by us, if you weren't banned it just means discord hasn't lifted the invitations restriction. Give me the username and I'll check.

How does this compare to Planet Lust in any way? ( PS Dandy Boy was a complete banger. They should have stuck with that instead of parking it to make Planet Lust.)

Arvus is openly working on two games. There is already a fuck ton of sex scenes, because you can play a version of Starmaker right now. Kal's main focus at the moment is Starmaker, and the rest of the team are tapping away at Roundscape. Planet Lust is a completely different genre, from a completely different studio.
