Pretty insane amount of stuff you managed to put in this! How do you make this whole ship with a ton of details and lots of characters and quest system and puzzles and dialogue system and writing the dialogue and recording all of it etc. I actually don't get how you finished all the writing in time to then record all the voice lines and put them in the game and all that, genuinely crazy that you pulled all of this off!

Anyway, I enjoyed the story (I read it as both a story with a twist and also a commentary on how an AI following instructions can be misled by others to do harm). The voice acting was surprisingly good, I especially liked the random comments in the corridors. Again just crazy that everything came together in this short time, I'd love to learn how!

Step 1: Have a team and outline your roles before you start so you don't trip over each other in the short window you have.

Step 2:  Give up sleeping, you can do that when your dead!

Step 3: Be retired and spend all available hours on it.

Step 4: Use asset packs and lots of prefabs!

It was a really fun project and I think our team produced a pretty great product. We have already discussed going back after the jam and fixing up some of the bugs that are present and overall just clean it up with some extra time and care. Thank you for taking the time to play, comment and hopefully vote. Feel free to find me on discord ;)

Thank you for playing and thank you for the kind words!

Working with a team made this possible. At least 3 of us spent an unhealthy amount of time on the game. For the last week there was at least 1 person working on it at all times, our discord voice channel was live for 76 hours straight by the time we finished the final build.

It took us 2 full days of writing. We used a story board and pre-named all the files on the story board. We had little to no scope creep, we actually had to cut a few rooms from the story to finish in time and not have it drag on too long. One person managed the in game story, one person managed all the audio, one person managed level design/player control and one person managed the mini-games. It took a week to get all the voice lines recorded and balanced to sound equal. Getting them implemented was quick because it was pre planned out with the story board.
