Wish there was a button to place all carried blocks at once.

There isn't, but maybe there's already another technique to suddenly place every block you're carrying...? (I want to make some graphics showing how to do this, and some other techniques when I make an update! But for now, I wrote a bit about it in the game's description.)

There's so much personality to the animations even with stills, it's amazing! I do appreciate the mechanic consideration for the layout / height of the other bricks, it constantly got me thinking on my feet and going "oh wait, I need to lower that column of bricks too!"

Thank you! The game becomes very different with the width of the piston changed, but I felt 5 was good for the jam. (Maybe I'll try an alternate mode where it's 10 blocks wide... might still be playable??) There was a point in development where the piston followed the player around, but since the game is already about moving blocks around in the play area, it felt like there was already enough controlled chaos going on and it was overkill. (Might try it again as a game modifier, though.) I'm glad you were thinking about the mechanics of the game like that!

ohhhh the art in this one is super duper cute. the movement sort of reminds me of game & watch games, with the doofy movement in the walk cycle. i also really really love the idea of losing a life actually playing a role in the mechanics! the game overall is super hectic but in a really fun way, it feels like the perfect difficulty for me to be able to keep my head above water, but juuust barely. my final score was 22,200!

Thank you!! I've wanted to do something with a game & watch walk cycle together with a claymation style for years, so I'm glad it was noticed!
