How does your game tie into the extra theme (optional)
Fall is here, and a bunch of beetles need to stock up on juice for the coming winter! Will you help them make their way through a dense forest filled with delicious roots? But be careful, there are other hungry creatures lurking in the shadows, waiting for a tasty snack to wander by.

This is one of the most unique games I've played! The art is amazing and I love the different combinations you can do. The newly unlocked buildings keeps me eager to keep playing.
Love the small critters, very cute and nice game!
Loved this! probably way out of scope but a little booklet that shows what bugs have been collected and how many are still left to collect would be really cool. love the art style :D
I spent to much time on this!
Love the art style of this and the colors are somehow both bright and fun while also being more muted and cozy. I'm not sure what I did wrong but eventually I stopped having more of the grubs respawning so got down to a lil baby beetle family lol. Really enjoyed this though and like others said it's a cool interpretation of the theme!
Love the art style which is beautiful and unique. Also love the concept of this game which is a nice interpretation of the theme 🌈✨🪲
The merging mechanic is super interesting here and it's super fun to discover all the beetles.
Wonderful job ! 💖🍂
Nice, cozy vibes. The art is beautiful and the gameplay is really engaging! Excellent work!
This is such a good game really enjoyed it! The music, artstyle and gameplay are all sooo good!
Art was pretty, music choice was good, idea is cool. I could see this evolving more by having more bugs and buildings. I was guarding my snail always with at least 3 Fighters, couldn't lose it :D

Incredible. Gameplay is great, looks and sound awesome, very pleasing to play. Incredible work
This is the GOAT. Holy mother of god this game is so freaking fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun
I'm crying just cause I needed one last drop of juice to fill the last stump, but I couldn't found it :(
Either way, this is the best one I've played so far for sure. Amazing
100000/10
I would play this game a lot if it was a larger project with levels and such!
I enjoyed this one, lovely art, lovely sound, great idea. Well done!
- First what stood the most for me was the aesthetic, the illustrations are lovely, how the bugs combine with the surroundings and other assets without blending too much and getting loss thanks to the little white outline is clever. I also loved the little title screen, makes me wanna play the game.
- The tutorial is just perfect, not that long but enough to get the basics instantly.
- The sounds scratch an itch in my brain. Like when the little critters eat roots.
- Experience wise it gives so much freedom (something I think cozy games are about). You can play to win, you can explore different combinations of bugs (my personal approach to the game) you also have upgrades like the little shelter. It's feels like a game I would play unironically not only to review it.
-The way you used the extra theme "roots" is one of the best I've seen. It doensn't seem forced, and actually it feels relevant to the game whole story
Great job guys :)
Really nice game that felt very unique compared to others and overall fun.
Hearing this means sooo much to me, thank you!
We try to come up with somewhat unique concepts, so I'm glad it shows
The game's art style is really beautiful🎨✨✨☺
The game is really good! I want to keep playing but I already cleared out the entire map! The art style fits really well to the game, the only thing is that I ended up not having enough juice for the last stump (5 short), is it maybe the case that only the grubs produce juice?
Even with this minor "bug", this is such a good game! And the sound effects and the music tie it all together!
Awww thanks so much for playing and for the kind words!
You're not the first one running into this problem. There are 2 critters dropping juice, the Grubs are one of them. After this was pointed out to us I actually checked, and there should have been a third critter dropping juice, I simply forgot to enable it for them. Nonetheless, we actually didn't enable it for all critters, this was us trying to balance things a bit, and it always worked well when we playtested. That's also the main reason why only Grubs can reproduce, so you don't end up with only high tier critters.
Buuut this definitely needs some tweaking in the future, but it's crazy to know people are playing this long, I wasn't expecting that at all :D
The music isn't made by us, but the sounds are! Glad it tied together so well :)
I worked together with my partner on this game while we were in the same room, he made the sounds on the last day and it was extremely funny (and hard for me not to laugh into his recordings xD).
The art here is so striking and unique! Great colours and bug designs. I am not a fan of bugs, but these bugs were pretty darn cute.
Okay this has to be the cutest thing I have ever played. It blends the colony management with exploration really good. Great idea and really great execution with a lot of care and attention to details.
The one thing that bugged -pun not intended- me is that sometimes when I want to move a Stag to defend a line, it combines with a Grub and they all die together. Maybe an extra key for combining (like shift+drag) could’ve helped?
Congratulations to the team. I’d like to see the full game if further developed.
Ohh that's a good suggestion. We tried to keep the controls minimal, but that would actually improve the experience a bit more. I ran into this "issue" too while testing, and can definitely feel the frustration with it as well.
Thank you so much for testing out our game and for the kind words, that feedback will definitely help us improve it later on!
