Very cozy and I loved the music. The art is also very clean! Congrats!
So cozy and unique! I couldn't figure out how to harvest the vegetables - I tried to click the shovel and then click on the grown veggies, but it didn't seem to do anything. SOS! (I set the timer to the 5 minute version, then tried to harvest after the time ran into the negative.)
Oh, I get the frustration, that's actually an animation bug. I messed up the formula for calculating the current frame, which causes the "fully grown" frame to appear one step before the plants actually finish growing.
As for the timer going into negative numbers, that's intentional! Since it's a Pomodoro timer, someone deep in focus might need a bit more than 25 minutes. To make sure that extra time doesn't eat into their break, it shows how much time has passed since the work session was supposed to end. Once you press the yellow button, the break begins and you can rest!
Thank you so much for the useful feedback!
Do I need to click a button before I can harvest the plants then?
Yep, the shovel
not unintuitive at all! I did click the shovel then try to click the vegetables, so something else must have been wrong. All good!
Sorry for the unintuitive UX
Overall a pretty cozy game and idea of this being an actual tool, rather than a game is pretty great!
The music is chill and the graphics are amazing!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words about the game! :D
This is awesome! I was having a hard time getting focused for work (hence being on itch lol) and saw this pop up so thought I'd try it and it's really been helping me focus today so thank you! I like being able to do a little bit of interacting with it by setting up the seeds and then starting the timer and every once in a while noticing the plants grow while I work. The music is also nice and not distracting.
Thank you! "Came to itch to avoid work, ended up focused" is the nicest thing anyone's said about it, haha.
Honestly, that's the exact feeling I was going for, so this made my day. Hope the rest of your workday goes well!
The animations and art were amazing! I love the vibe and the satisfying SFX and pulling the plants out when they were finished. Everything about this game screams polished.
Thank you! Pulling the plants out was one of my favorite parts to make, so I'm really happy it feels satisfying. Glad the vibe landed too!
Such a unique way to make a pomodoro timer!
Thank you! I wanted a pomodoro timer I'd actually enjoy coming back to, so I'm glad the idea stands out! :D
Nice art, but I feel like an option to speed up the timer would be great.
Thanks! It’s actually a Pomodoro timer where plants grow while you work. You can make them grow faster by shortening the focus period (click the timer to edit it); you can even set it down to 1 second if you want to speed things up! :D
It can be a bit frustrating that plants don't grow when the timer isn't counting down, and I completely understand that. We're planning an update after the jam voting period, and we might even bring this game to Steam!
Rootodoro even sounds cool! I really liked the art and the music. It genuinely feels like you’re sitting by your own garden, with a cup of tea and a book in your hands
Thank you so much! Hearing that it brings you that cozy, garden-and-tea feeling is the best compliment I could ask for. I really appreciate you playing and sharing your thoughts!
The art is amazing! And this is a really cool spin on a pomodoro timer!
Thank you! Your feedback really means a lot!
I found idea of a game you play alongside your pomodoro session really interesting.
The UI look and feel and transitions are cool as hell.
Loved the art specially of the veggies!
Thanks a lot! Appreciate you taking the time to play and leave feedback.
