:0 quick and punchy.

I was bouncing off of it, until I saw the "the-logical-endpoint-of-idea-guys" tag, which tied me back into what you wanted to do. This plays a bit like a prototype-within-a-prototype - the "reloading" scene transitions, the Eileen conceit, there's something I really like in the core of that, with the unreliable narrator build up. I like how it loops.

I liked the journal style to the dialog, and think you have room to push that further, to be more vicious/sad/lonely/sentimental. I liked when you leaned poetic, but it fell flat for me at times when the narrator said things point blank.

I feel like there's a lot of conceptual DNA in common with this and something like The Beginner's Guide, which is an all time favorite for me.

Thanks for putting it together.

thanks for reading and such a thoughtful comment!! I definitely agree with you on there being room to push it further!! I think I tend to get floaty and poetic before saying things point blank, but I think that only tends to be as effective as it can be when I have a lot more room to breathe. I just wanted to make something super short so it is what it is on this one.

I did show the early stages of this to someone and they immediately said "have you played the beginner's guide" hahaha

thanks for constructive criticism, I really really loved the devil's tongue!!!
