Welcome to the Bezi Mega Jam!

The Mega Jam runs September 14–28. Before we get started, here's what everyone should know.

Join the Bezi Discord

A lot of the community activity during the jam will happen in our Discord:

https://discord.gg/bezi

If you’re looking for teammates, head to #find-a-team. Teams can have up to 3 people, and you’re also completely welcome to participate solo.

Once the jam begins, please keep Mega Jam discussion in #event-chat. The Bezi Discord is an existing community outside of the jam, so please be respectful of the other spaces, community members, and people of all experience levels.

Synty 50% Discount

Our friends at Synty have provided Mega Jam participants with 50% off full-priced packs.

Code: BMJ26-Synty50

The code is active September 13–30. It applies to full-priced packs and excludes SyntyPass.

Synty is also running an up to 80% off Fantasy Sale from September 16–28. The discounts do not stack, and the Fantasy Sale prices will be better than the jam code. Use the sale for Fantasy packs and the jam code for other eligible packs.

Bezi Challenge + Devlog Challenge

The Devlog Challenge is tied to the Bezi Challenge.

If you’re participating in the Bezi Challenge and want your devlog considered for the Devlog prize, you’ll need to create a devlog showing your experience building your Mega Jam game with Bezi.

As part of your submission, you also need to post your devlog in #bezi-showcase on the Bezi Discord before submissions close. This is how we’ll find and review the devlogs.

Judging

After submissions close, I’ll be streaming the judging process on Twitch as I play through submissions, take notes, and evaluate the games.

You can follow along here:

https://www.twitch.tv/bezihq

I’ll announce when I’m going live in the Bezi Discord.

Please read the judging criteria and challenge requirements on the main jam page before you start building. Those are the criteria I’ll be using when evaluating submissions:

/jam/bezi-mega-jam-1

Most importantly, have fun. Build something weird, try something you haven’t tried before, meet some new people, and don’t worry if everything doesn’t go according to plan. That’s part of game jams.

Good luck, everyone. See you in the jam!

Can you  allow participants to submit just a picture of their artwork instead of a process video? Some participants have limited storage or device capacity, making video creation difficult. Accepting a picture would allow more artists to participate without unnecessary technical pressure, while keeping the main focus of the challenge — artwork and creativity — the same.

So long as you can document the process, I will take that into account.

Why am I unable to view other Fan Arts and what was the reason for my arts disqualification?

Host

I removed them from the voting queue because I am judging those, not the public.  Don't worry about that.

Any rough estimates on when the Fan Art judging process will happen on Twitch?

last, so sometime next week
