Aurora might not be jealous of the ghosts, but I sure am! I love Aurora. Amy's voice acting and lines were so much fun. Jam without knives, though? You just want me to stick my fingers in it? Girl. 😂 -and oh, Dave's doing it. My heart broke a bit for Reese trying to get pets with zero success. And I LOVE the... abstract masterpiece.

The length and depth of this visual novel is super impressive for the deadline, especially with full voice acting. It balances moments of tension and more light-hearted scenes so well. I'm really curious about the choices behind Nicole's design -- I kind of expected her to look more cowboy-ish, haha -- but I do really like her design, it's striking. I'd love to see the quick menu and character names have the text outlined in a dark colour, just so it's clearer to see. I also noticed the credits cut off to the right side slightly towards the end.

IN TEARS OVER CHURCH GHOST. UAAAGH. (In a good way.)

This is a remarkable piece of art that's sweet, sexy and heartfelt, with an important moral behind it. I feel quite privileged to have experienced it, and I hope everyone involved keeps creating such wonderful things as this.

Thank you so much for the kind comment! As for Nicole’s design, while the cowboy thing was initially was written into her character sheet, we just kind of did this because it was fun. My logic as the writer is she can change her clothes (or the appearance of them, anyway) because there’s no way she died in that in the 1800s!

Thank you for the comment about the scope! As director, I did thorough outlining and preproduction. Past experiences with fully VAed projects also helped a lot, but truly, we wouldn’t have been able to do it if not for the incredible team that was so passionate, hardworking, and excited to make the game. Our amazing line cutters especially were instrumental to this project getting finished in the timeline it did.

And yeah, the quick menu and character names are being updated for the next build, as are the credits. Thanks so much for your comment!

"Capitalism. We all discuss how much we hate hate capitalism."

Oh gosh, I would have asked Nicole to possess me in the very first minute. I could never resist that "deviously attractive" voice. I wouldn't mind to take some break from my life.

Alright, that was enough oversharing. I absolutely loved how the story wrapped up very satisfyingly. The dialogue was very well written. The finale with Amy made me tear up a bit.

Aurora must be pretty jacked if she carries CRTs around all day. I am a bit concerned that the drank a whole bottle of wine and didn't even start slurring. She might be a functional alcoholic.

The sprites looked great. Both the humans and the ghosts. And the music enhanced it all.

And I can't believe this was all fully voice acted. Such a treat! I never skipped a single sentence because everyone did such a great job.

In fact, the whole team did a great job! Thank you for making this game.

Thank you for the wonderful comment! Yeah, Aurora being jacked was part of the character design even if you can’t really see her arms. I’m so grateful you enjoyed it so much!

i almost cried.

i really love the voice acting in this and the jokes really land well and gave me a smile. and the writing was magnificent.
sure sometimes there was weird camera shots where they zoom to the wrong position and sometimes the characters don't fade to black during the text cutscenes, but besides that overall cinematography is amazing for mostly images of people standing.

props for the art and the drawings too.

it was beautiful. thank you for making this.

Developer

Aww, thank you so much! I appreciate it dearly!

We’re working on some of the weird zooms/staging in a future update, but I am glad you enjoyed it regardless.

What a lovely experience! The whole game has such a warm and heartfelt atmosphere, and I really enjoyed seeing how all the different elements came together.

The voice acting was one of my favorite parts. The performances feel incredibly natural and expressive, and the recording quality is excellent. The soundtrack also deserves a huge mention,  it fits every scene so well and does a great job of shifting between the more playful and emotional moments.

I also really loved the character art. Everyone has its own personality, and the designs make it immediately clear who each character is. You can tell a lot of care went into the little details, and the different art styles work surprisingly well together.

Congratulations to the whole team!

A lovely, sweet story, filled with warmth and heart--I enjoyed it very much! The voice acting work is terrific throughout; I was especially impressed by how natural and expressive the performances are! The soundtrack does a wonderful job of carrying the emotional heart of the story, shifting between playful and sultry with as much facility as Nicole does herself. The sprites are rendered with ample personality and detail, each providing a very clear idea of the character they represent, with evident care put into each individual's design. This was a a treat to play; well done, to the whole team!

Really enjoyed playing this!
The voice acting was great with high quality recordings which always gets + points from me.
The music was fantastically crafted and well suited to the art style. It was utilised + implemented really well - each cue was appropriate for every scene.
I really liked the art and the artists complemented each other well stylistically.
I wish I could give more feedback on the narrative and writing, but I don't have a plethora of VN experience to compare it with. The middle section maybe dragged on a bit long for my liking, but the ending was really beautiful and satisfying!
A wholly enjoyable experience and congratulations to all involved for creating something so cool! Something for you all to be proud of for sure :) All the best

Thank you for the great review! No worries about not giving critique, we love compliments too! I'll make sure your compliments get to the rest of the team :D

The voice acting for this was fantastic! Also I really didn't think parts of plot at the beginning would be coming back, but they had a nice payoff. The places this game shines are probably the writing and the line deliveries and how they work together. One criticism would have to be a lack of pauses during like, the mc going from one room to the other or a few other instances like that. Regardless I enjoyed this game.

Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Also thanks for the critique, we're planning on slowly adding some touchups so we'll keep pauses in mind!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind review! This really means a lot!

We’ll work on some of those pauses in the next build. Thank you!!

Thank you so much for your remarks on the voice acting-- I'm super proud of the cast and crew who put it together :))
