We’ve been waiting for so long, at least let us know when the update is coming out.
These pictures tell a story though, my biggest worry and what might be some time to add is all the endings appear to have been done before the reworks. Meaning all of the backgrounds, image outputs and character changes will need to be done again.... running full screen images through relight is not going to look pretty so this will be manual work
That response is honestly pretty disappointing, bro. I’ve been checking out a lot of forums and discussions, and there are a lot of people who are genuinely pissed off. I’ve also seen quite a few people who were banned from the community sharing their opinions elsewhere now, and a lot of them constantly shit on Kal.
All year we’ve been told the update would come out in 2026, and now we’re already in Q4 with the year practically over. I really hope 2026 doesn’t turn into “the update is coming in 2027,” because that would be a really bad look. Even the most loyal fans eventually lose faith when everything is based on promises with nothing to show for them.
That said, I genuinely wish Kal all the best and hope he can deliver on his promise. Hopefully the update makes it out this year 🙌
Do not get me wrong 💯believe we will get 1.9 this year. Just think looking at what we have seen so far there is a fair bit to still tidy up. Maybe Kal will get to state why he thinks he can launch 1.9 in a good enough state where he can do more tidy up in a letter patch or move it to 2.0. I am more under the impression though 2.0 will end up slipping into next year... even the most basic major releases take 3-4 months and we are in October now.
