I think it was really cool mixing the real life pictures with the pixel style. The story was really interesting too, even though I didn't quite undestand it. Fits the theme of the jam really well though, well done! I think the game could use some more interactivity, currently we're only able to walk around and interact and it works just fine, especially with the interesting story, but it does feel kinda repetitive at some point. Maybe some minigames inbetween or something like that would make it even better!
Go Finnland!
interesting plot device for such a sad story. I liked it~
Firstly, I left this game to download on background, forgot it and got a heart attack when the game started :D That aside, I really like your style of indirect storytelling. The cereal theme is chill enough but when you experience the whole game, there are many nuances of even more tragic story. I like the art style too!
Btw an unrelated question, I checked out the other games you've done and saw Metroasema, so I want to ask if you're Finnish too? Since it's always very cool to find other people from my country attending the same jams as me lol.
Thank you! And yeah we are both Finnish :)
Omg yey, I must root for you guys then! Go Finland people!
Wow this game is cursed hahahah. Very dark and I must say I liked that. The sound is INCREDIBLY abrasive and I think it works. I must admit I'm a sucker for this kind of thing. I loved the elegant design of photographic backgrounds and minimal game assets. I like that fight is all you can do, haha. It's not the same AT ALL but it reminded me a bit of a game called Fatum Betula, more in how the story is told than anything else.. Very creative and very agressive. I'd say it could use more polish but I don't think this game is built for that, haha. I liked the most the doors where you ask "may I come in?" because I imagined someone i dont know knocking on my door and simply asking "may I come in?" and the thought made my stomach turn. Congrats on your entry!
Thanks! I've not heard about fatum betula before but instantly bought it after seeing the steam page, thanks for recommendation!
lol you're gonna be like "this is nothing like our game" BUT it resonated similarly to me for some reason haha. a lot of fun hidden endings in fatum betula for sure
