I absolutely love the art style of your project. Finding anomalies is something we've seen many times before, but the way you present it through this art style and sound design makes it feel really special. I love it.
Congratulations on the great work!
Thanks!
I've played my share of anomalies games, but I've never saw any in medieval era. I thought it would be interesting to think about how this kind of liminal spaces / backroom-like settings would be interpreted in those times.
The visual inspiration came from Project Shadowglass, Vermis, Cultic... And for the sound design, it's thanks Samuel Ivascu, to the musician who I met in the discord for this jam and who took care of the music and the sfxs.
Solid entry! Didn't get to the end but as an exit 8 fan really appreciate seeing this idea executed in that setting~
Thanks, it's not perfect but I had fun making it.
You don't even know how much I've yearned for another Exit 8, and this scratched my urge perfectly. This is more difficult tho, or I'm just too blind and impatient, but that's not a bad thing. The graphics are stunning and all anomalies interesting enough to keep you looking, gotta appreciate how much details were implemented just for this. Witch hunt setting is also enjoyable and present throughout the game, good job!
Thanks!
I didn't do a good enought job at the tutorial but you actually get hints about the anomalies you've missed each time : it's in the little room to the right just before entering the new loop. Meant to teach players the spots for potential anomalies each time you failed, so you don't get stuck for too long.
