Years upon years ago, I did have a project going to make a Larry 4 game. I had Al Lowe’s written permission to do so (just not call it Leisure Suit Larry) and all that. The plan was to make it in SCI, but SCI Studio with VGA support hadn’t been released yet so I prototyped it in AGS. What little I have of that AGS prototype now is literally all that ever existed, and it’s not worth sharing.
Nowadays, Robbo007 has their own take on LSL4, which they do call by the full “Leisure Suit Larry” name, that runs on the older 16 color SCI0 engine. A short demo was recently released.
