Silly Animal Machine — mix two animals, add magic, then take care of whatever you created ๐Ÿฆ„๐Ÿธ

I made a small free browser game originally for my young kids called Silly Animal Machine. It's now playable on itch.io.

The idea is deliberately simple:

Pick two animals.

Pick a magical power.

Push the button.

Meet whatever ridiculous creature you've just created.

There are nine base animals, 36 different combinations and four magical powers including rainbow bubbles, flowers, music and shooting stars.

But making the creature is only the start.

Your creations live in a small 3D pocket galaxy with Meadow, Candy, Water and Snow worlds. You can bring your creatures into each world, feed them, play with them, let them sleep, and meet other creatures you've already made.

It is designed primarily for younger kids, so the interface is deliberately visual and lightweight.

It's free, browser based, and has no accounts, ads or microtransactions.

If you try it with a child, I'd especially love to hear whether they can understand the creation flow and move around the worlds without much adult help.
