How does your game meet GBJam's theme
In the very first scene of the 2007 TV show, Mad Men, Don Draper sits alone at the bar. He smokes a Lucky Strike cigarette, the box displayed on the table like an advertisement. One of the waitstaff approaches his table and lights his cigarette for him. Seizing the opportunity, Don asks him what cigarettes he smokes.
"Old Gold," the man replies.
Don Draper asks why, and the man tells him that they were the brand given out as rations to soldiers in World War 2. Don asks follow ups, pitches hypotheticals, and tries to get to the bottom of why people do what they do. Over the course of 7 seasons and 8 years, Don will realize that people are not rational; that he is not rational. That despite trying to control his destiny and sell others on a new one, everyone is subject to societal patterns and habits and addictions.
The bartender smokes Old Gold for reasons beyond his own ken.
I made Old Gold cigarettes a mechanical staple of my game for the same reasons.

This is a really neat idea, the shader is great and I like finding a 3D game in a GameBoy jam. I did not play much, because I got too frustrated trying to control the character, and in addition to the character being difficult to control, I could not find the packages or did not know where to find them. But there's a neat idea here.
There's a lot of good this submission brings to the table. The game oozes personality and a significant level of polish given the short time span allotted. Ernest is well-designed and his love for cigarettes is unrivaled. Pogo'ing around is in general very fun to do once you learn how to "momentum toggle" by switching between the game's pogo and walk modes. Some further refinements to help players better steer themselves mid-flight would be helpful, but the core gameplay loop is foundationally solid. In truth, the game beyond adhering to the jam rules doesn't really capture gameboy soul, but this is the only blemish in an otherwise quality entry.
