First of all, well done on your first published project! I definitely felt the 'rage game' genre part of it sometimes, but had a good time trying to get higher regardless, fun gameplay loop! I did wonder for a second if I forgot that I could shoot since I do have a gun, but doesn't seem I could shoot. Also, might be handy to make the enemies either a little slower or give some sort of sidescreen exclamation mark or something, since sometimes I couldn't seem to see that they were coming in time. Again though, well done!! :)
