Three things I liked about this game:

  1. Gaslighting, murder, generative AI taking over lives in the most insidious of ways, even a corrupted game world that gets even more corrupted as the story goes on...this game is straight nightmare fuel, exactly what this jam ordered!
  2. You can "talk" to the enemies and bypass combat. Maybe not a great thing to say about the game's combat system, but for a game and story that takes a long time to play out the time reduction this provides is appreciated, and even ties into the game thematically.
  3. Being able to skip the final dungeon is another little QoL option that is helpful not only for those who feel like the game is going on too long, but also nice for players who get stuck (like I did 💀).

Three things I did not like:

  1. There are a lot of repeated patterns in the dialogue that could have been trimmed down.
  2. The combat. Short story: it's undercooked, so I tried to avoid it when I could and sped through it when I could not.
  3. I got stuck on the final dungeon. I'm not sure, but it may be a bug. Fortunately, you added the ability to skip it so I was at least able to see an ending.

Note: I have longer critiques of the things I did not like, but I posted a shorter version in case you don't want a wall of text. Let me know if you want the full version.

Overall, I think this was a good game. I'm sure that it could have been better had there been more time and fewer upsets along the way, but what we got is still a fine entry.

Thank you for playing. Like I said, I was not proud of this entry at all. I had to cut out a lot of things and I didn't have time to do much with the combat system. The problems show horrifically, that's why I almost didn't submit. The story is "short" because I literally cut over half of it out to keep the gameplay to as close to an hour as possible, but I had a lot of hiccups keeping it coherent. That's probably where the dialogue problems came in. All I can say is I tried to make it okay. I'm sorry it turned out so sloppy.

I do want to know how you got stuck. There might have been a switch or something that wasn't pressed, but it depends on what floor you managed to get to. I added the final dungeon skip because, again, trying to keep this entry to an hour.

I'll admit, I am very nervous to know what you have to say. But feel free to DM it.
