How does your game interpret and use the theme?
One Last Fare interprets “The Long Way Home” as both a physical journey and an emotional return to family.

On his last day as a taxi driver, Yoon is ready to go home to his son. Instead, he agrees to take one final passenger, Chun, more than 200 kilometers to see her own son.

The player chooses routes, listens to radio broadcasts for information, and encounters different conversations and people along the way. Taking someone else home makes Yoon’s own journey longer, but it also gives him time to reflect on the family moments he has postponed because of work.

By the end, getting home means more than finishing a shift. It means finding reasons to reconnect with the people waiting there—even through something as small as sharing a joke, cooking a meal, or making time to listen.

YOOO, THIS STORY HITS DIFFERENT! 🚕❤️‍🩹✨

I really love how One Last Fare interprets “The Long Way Home” as more than just a physical journey. The idea of a taxi driver taking one final passenger more than 200 kilometers to reunite with her son, while he's also trying to get home to his own family, is such a beautiful and emotional concept. 🥹💛 It makes the journey feel meaningful because both characters have someone waiting for them, and every extra mile becomes part of the story.

The storytelling, branching routes, and UI design sound like some of the strongest parts of this game! 📻🛣️ I especially like the radio system and how conversations and broadcasts can add context to the journey. The contrast between Yoon's work and the family moments he's been putting off gives the theme a really thoughtful message: sometimes we spend so much time working toward something that we forget to make time for the people who matter most. ❤️

One thing I'd love to see is a little more variety during the driving sections, perhaps with more radio events, background music, or small moments along the road to make the long trips feel more alive. The radio system has so much potential for storytelling, and a few extra interactions could make an already meaningful journey even more immersive! 🎶✨

KEEP TELLING STORIES LIKE THIS, DEV! 💛🚕 For a first game jam project made in around 40 hours, this is a really thoughtful concept. Games don't always need huge battles or complicated mechanics to leave an impression — sometimes, one final passenger and a long drive can say so much about life, family, and the people waiting for us at home. Wishing you the best of luck with the jam and your future projects! 🌅🏆

Really cool game, nice history and what an amazing mechanic and UI work, was an interesting way to show all the data and works great.

And idea could be play more with the radio, add, some music on the background and less channels, there you can play more with the news and other things.

But really cool game, i love it, really good job. look great and had potencial x3

I really loved the art, it's very cohesive and fits the game very well.

I wish there was a bit more to do along the way, it got a bit samey by the end.

Very good first game!

Thank you play my game! After playing it myself, I think the radio system needs some fixes. I will show you an even better side of us at the next game jam

Nice story ! It seem to have multiple route didnt do them all but was nice to have the option ! Good job on the Ui.

I enjoyed this. I only played it once (I'm trying to sample as many other submissions as I can!) but there seems to be a few multiple routes to choose from and you took the care to branch a bunch of different little character interactions. That's impressive.

The UI is great start and its intuitive. The radio is a nice touch, though 100 channels felt a bit overwhelming! Given more time, I suppose you could make the driving visual frame more unique for each road, but I understand you did what you could for this jam -

My only complaint would be to find some way to fill in the space between each driving point. Some conversations didn't last long enough to fill the time. Though I like the quiet reflective tone overall, it still felt a little tedious just waiting to get to the next destination.

Overall though, this is a really thoughtful entry, and I ranked it pretty highly.
