It was a lot of fun. I wasn’t sure where the game would go after stage 0, but stage 1 was a pleasant surprise. I really like the mechanic where dragging the path slows time. I agree with Estel’s constructive feedback outlined below.

I was really surprised by how many gimmicks were packed into the very first stage. It turned out to be a bit too challenging for me personally, so I wasn't able to see what comes after. Having attack power change depending on the lane is a unique idea, and it made for a really interesting tower defense.

Developer

thank you very much for playing it!

in case you'd ever get curious to see what comes after. Some insights on the play tactics >.>

(there is the 1st level only)

Honestly, during level 0 I thought the whole game was gonna be like that: boxes keep spawning, and we make chains to smash them. Imagine my surprise when level 1 hit and a whole horde of slimes started marching straight for the wall. 🤯

Super cool concept!

Please don't take this as criticism, just a few ideas for improvement:

  1. When a level starts, there is a noticeable delay before enemies start walking. It's a bit confusing.
  2. The enemies are way too strong even on level 1. I lost almost half my HP on level 1 alone. 😂
  3. It would be awesome if there were one-shot enemies in the game.
  4. I still couldn't figure out how to kill the witches on level 3. Got totally wrecked. 💀

But the idea itself is quite interesting. If only the gameplay were more dynamic and the game itself more welcoming during the early levels. ❤️

thaaank you so much for the detailed feedback! one-shot enemies sounds soooo coool! Yes! That could totally be something to give a player an opportunity to chill and smile!

oh, a little something on how to fight witches back ^.^

Ooh 🤯

I thought it was just a projectile and wasn't worth wasting time on. 😂

Nice submission, congrats! I agree with the other people commenting, the mechanic itself was quite easy to understand, but it was much harder than expected. Still, nice jam entry!

Developer

oh, thank you, thanks a lot! This jam I decided to pick something I truly enjoy in games. The challenge, sweaty palms, rage, skill, pain... hahahh

The Defold jam is only once a year. Why not try and create something you'd really love to. And I would hope there would be at least one person to enjoy all that pain and challenge!

Fun idea, the tutorial made it very clear how to play the game for me.
But man its difficult. Maybe im just not that mechanically gifted for this one. But fun entry, satisfying to blast the enemies.

Developer

thank you for playing and for the feedback!

Yea, it might be more on the tough-arcade side stuff haha

I felt that but decided to move in that direction anyways

I was confused at first but once I figured it out it was really cool! It's great to play a unique game like this.

Developer
