I liked the tactical balance between defense and offense, but I think it needs a bit of balancing. I couldn't get past the second fight. The UI was a bit hard to read in some areas too, due to a lot of overlapping text or text overflowing its container. But the card mechanic felt good though.

Fun card game. You can tell from the map that there is a lot of content, but the game barely gives you a chance to survive. 😂

One mistake and you are dead. Yeah, like you already mentioned, the game definitely needs a tutorial and a smoother onboarding. Also, the text above characters blends into the background. A subtle outline would make it much easier to read.

But overall, the game is interesting as a concept. Well done! ❤️

The low-poly island art on the title screen and the lobby/character-select flow are genuinely beautiful for a jam game — picking a character and seeing the party status update live felt polished. The roguelike route map (combat/shop/rest nodes) looks great too. I had trouble figuring out how to click through to the next node on the map; a highlighted/pulsing outline on the currently selectable nodes would make navigation much clearer.
