Three things I liked about this game:
- The ambience is appropriately creepy
- The controls are simple, and there are prompts on things that can be interacted with
- The game is relatively straightforward and short
Three Four things I did not like:
- It's difficult to tell what needs to be done in each segment, and it's not clear what interactions will trigger the next segment. I nearly quit on the first segment because I had trouble finding one interaction that would trigger the rest of the game. There was one place where I randomly interacted with something I could not see and it triggered the next segment. The one with the keys was annoying because I could not just collect the correct key; I had to try each key as the game allowed me to, then go back until I was allowed to pick up the correct key.
- The audio balance was terrible. I could barely hear the voice lines.
- While the darkness of the room adds to the creepy factor, it also made it difficult to maneuver through the rooms and obscured things I needed to interact with.
- Some interactions don't seem to work, particularly the radio, and the interact prompts appear farther away than the actual interaction distance. At least all the required interactions do work, but I would frequently have to get closer to the target than the prompts led me to believe.
