I felt like the text was too long before giving me any actual action in the game. When the game finally gave me something to do, like taking the eye from the first doll, it took a while before I got any feedback. And from the text, I got the impression that if I had chosen not to take the doll’s eye, it would have ended up being the same anyway. I expected either for her eye to actually be taken, or for the story to lead me down a path where taking her eye was the wrong thing to do.

When the second doll appeared, I chose not to cut off her foot, but, to my frustration, her foot gets cut off anyway. For the third one, I chose whatever and ended up cutting off her arm anyway. At that point, it became clear to me that my choices didn’t matter, which reinforced the feeling that the game is a linear story and my decisions don’t have an impact. Maybe they matter further down the line, but because there’s so little immediate feedback from my actions, that’s the impression I got. When I saw in the side menu that there were still four more body parts, I simply gave up on the game.
