Alright, so the concept could be interesting if there was any strategy possible. If the game had hints, or a way to understand the map generation (if it exists) could make the game strategizable and fun. I think a 1v1 mode would be much better suited to this premise, as a gold rush sort of thing.
Unfortunately, it seems this is mostly RNG, that can be easily circumvented by just going back and forth between squares, resetting the prices and waiting for them to be 1.
The dice sometime glitch out and give the wrong amounts, or just never stop sliding and give 0. Also, the click detection works half the time so it can be very frustrating to play.
This has potential but would need some major rework in the gameplay part, I hope you keep making games so we can see what you got!
Nice idea! For some reason I could still unvail neighbouring tiles without paying when I no longer had any moves, so I could do the whole map for free in one turn
Oh dang ! That's part of the game haha maybe one day if I come back on it to improve it, who knows !
Nice idea! I believe I found a bug where you can go back an forth between tiles and the cost for discovering a new one keeps changing, so you can just change tiles untill the new one costs 1 to discover
Hey ! Thanks for playing, and for the feedback.
That's not really a bug, not really an intended feature, but more the result of different rules not really matching. I just decided to keep it as is, because you'll, at some point, spend all your move points and have to end the turn. It's more like a grey spot in the rules, fine to exploit haha
At first, the 1 cost tile was free to discover, so players were able to do infinite moves with the method you describe. That was a real game killer so made the discovering cost at minimum one.
The mechanics were a little hard to take a grasp of in the beginning but it was a veryu original idea tho, kudos!
Thank you for playing, and for the kind feedback ! Glad you found it original :)
I found my ship but came back with 0 gold unlucky xD, very original game GGGG
Haha sorry for that ! And thank you for the feedback !
Good job ! I've got some issues that i've already told you in dm ! Félicitation for your second gamejam !
I managed to go back to my ship, yay !! Really cool concept, I like that you went into the whole boardgame vibe :)
Thank you for playing and the kind feedback
Confused as to how to play, but I liked discovering tiles, I got some gold too!
Sorry for that, I explained everything in the game page, because I did not have the time to make something in game to explain but, basically :
- you have to discover gold by paying the tile cost with your dice, 3 are hidden in the map. Then, find your way out !
- you pay the move cost with both your dice, by left mouse clicking the tile
- you can just unvail the tile by right mouse clicking the tile, the unvail cost is the move cost - 1, but the 1 cost tile will still cost 1 to unvail
- go back to a previous adjacent tile is free tho
- you have 24 turns to find the gold and find your way out. A turn ends every time you are out of dice value to do something
I am glad if you still enjoyed the game in some way !
Nice game concept! I was a bit confused at first about how to move around the map, but once I figured it out I enjoyed it. Good job!
Thank you for playing. I am sorry about the confusion, I wanted to add some "rules" ingame, but didn"t have the time. Everything is explained in the game page tho.
