Thanks for submitting DAM IT! This was a fun, cute game, and we really enjoyed our time with it.
The art style as a whole was adorable, and the little beavers were a joy to look at. The music was a great fit too. It kept a fun, upbeat energy the whole way through, which matched the tone of the game perfectly.
The game was also very original. No other entry in the jam had a gameplay loop quite like it, and that made it stand out right away. It fit the salvage theme well, and it seemed to execute on exactly what it set out to do. You had a clear vision, and it shows.
The main area for improvement is the controls. They were a little confusing at times, and we managed to get soft locked quite a few times during our playthrough. That might partly be on us, but clearer controls, a quick tutorial or prompt, and a reset option for when players get stuck would go a long way toward smoothing out the experience.
Overall, this was one of the better games of the jam and something you should be proud of. We'd love to see it fleshed out a bit more, because there's a really charming and unique game here with a lot of potential. Great work, and thanks for being part of the jam!
