Wow I'm really impressed by the level of polish there, in so little time!

It was a fun mix of the hidden items genre with some action. The visuals and audio were great too.

Bunnies were definitively the hardest to find, they blended in quite well.

Outstanding job, I managed to get through the end, but not without some losses. Well done!

Did you also generate the idea using AI ?

Developer

No, I had this idea first and then was thinking how to pull it off in 3 hour timeframe. Realized it won't be possible so I thought I might give the full AI approach a shot. It was a bit rushed, I was still initializing AI to learn about some Picotron way of doing things but turned out beyond my expectations anyway. Now I am torn. I love to make games the "old fashioned way" but this gives the freedom to execute basically any idea in the limited time. Should we create games with both our hands behind the back to preserve the process we all love? I don't know the answer myself... Its exciting and incredibly frustrating at the same time.

I feel you. To me video game is an art and IMO art should be preserved from AI. Maybe you would have done the visuals, audio or other stuff differently and that would have expressed a bit more of "you". Humans don't make perfect stuff that's the charm of it, like bob ross said "We don't make mistakes, we just have happy accidents". I really enjoyed your game and I'm sure you did put some work into it, not just using AI. Do you think you would have enjoyed process more without AI outside the context of this jam ?

Definitely one of the best ideas of the jam. Even if it was made using AI, it's still a great game. Could you share which AI tools you used to create it?

Thank you! Nothing fancy tool-wise really. Just vanilla Claude Code (Opus 5.5). First time building something larger with Picotron but I have library of my previous Pico-8 projects. I've initilized and let it create support files based on that library and Picotron manual.

Great entry. I needed only a few seconds of playing to know that this is one of the best ideas of the game jam.
