What brings you more satisfaction in a game?

I am not sure my self.
Today, i don't enjoy long games as much. When i am typing long games, i mean games that are longer than 30 hours.

As i am not a developer myself, i am always curious with what actual developer come up. I know a lot of people like scary games. I usually like psychological games without monsters or jump scares or at lest to a minimum.

Mainly i like exploration games. Games where you stumble over documents, recordings etc. that tell you the story of what happened.

Though sometimes also a strict puzzle game can be great or a game where you perform mundane tasks.

The list is really long.

I find limited game time not a bad thing. It gives me  more time to do other things. So it maybe because i am older now.

In rare cases i do hunt for achievements though not really for every game. But i think most people do the same.

Anyway, i am just really curious what people play and if you or anyone enjoys playing really long games rather than a short game or vs. versa.

Thanks.

I like gripping stories... whether through romance, mystery, or horror... I also like drama... I remember in the Soul Reaver saga I even cried at Raziel's ending T_T

I still enjoy 2D run 'n' guns, metroidvanias, turn based RPGs and puzzle game despite my age.

I'd love to play long games such as JRPGs again but I might need to find free ones.
