I didn't think a typing game could be fun, but Ig framing can change things.

That said, there are a few things that could be improved:

  • Font choice: Using a font where capital and lowercase letters are hard to distinguish... is kinda diabolical for a game about typing, where the distinction matters.
  • Letter capitalization: I got a feeling this game was originally Deutsch, where nouns get capitalized so it is normal for words to be capitalized midsentence. However, such is not the case in English, and so having "We" and "Wind" get capitalized mid-sentence feels unnatural. (Add to that the fact above that distinguishing capital and lowercase "W" is difficult with the font)
  • Mistake buffer: When one types a word, and the first letter was wrong (e.g. capital vs. lowercase problem again), usually one wouldn't register the mistake before other letters get inputted. For example, say typing "While", but because the player doesn't notice that the "W" is capital letter, makes a mistake there. Chances are, the player would type the entire "-hile" next before registering they made a mistake. It would be extremely unfair to register that as 5 mistakes.

Anyway, I actually had fun. Good job!

Yes, I did not properly capitalize things when translating the languages ^^; we are very aware of the issue. There also was supposed to be more of a story, but thank you!

  • I switched to a font that's easier to read for the spell text; that should fix it.
  • I had no idea that was the case; I'll adjust the capitalization of the spells in the other languages.
  • I'll think of a way to handle that—I have a few ideas.
Thanks for trying the game! I'll post the final version later.
