My main character is pretty useless (on purpose)

Cordy, the hero of Mykro, is the size of an ant. Cordy can walk, pick berries and carry stuff. That's it.

No sword. No level-ups. Just bugs.

Every bug you befriend can do one thing nobody else can, and you need all of them to get anywhere.

- The ant gathers, hauls and brews.
- The jumping spider leaps gaps and spins silk bridges for the rest of the swarm.
- The beetle charges through walls.
- The firefly lights the dark and heals your friends.
- The wolf spider hunts you every night.

Befriend one anyway, and it opens doors nothing else can.

There's a berry grove you can see from the start, but there's a crack in the way. Get a spider and you're in.

Mushrooms walled off by clods? That's a job for the beetle.

Under the ant colony's mound is a whole anthill of puzzles: stones to ram, gaps to cross, eggs to haul, all in the dark. You can only bring two bugs down at a time, so you'll have to choose.

Cordy is useless. The bugs are the whole game.

So, question for you:
if you could add one bug to the yard, what would it be and what would it do?

Ok, that got me hooked. I would add a termites that are constantly trying to fight ants and can chew on hard wood.

The bug war is a great idea!

Praying mantis, it can cut grasses and twigs and can attack hostile creatures.

That is an absolute stroke of genius! A praying mantis is easily one of the most fascinating and iconic bugs in nature, and it fits right into the vibe of Mykro.

I love this idea and your artwork looks great! What has been your biggest challenge inn making this? Is it more of the development or just keeping all the things you have to complete organized?

It's so nice to read that, Thank you! I guess the biggest challenge is keeping the visuals coherent and adding new features without breaking the game.
