This stuck a balance where exploration and fuel actually worked well, the tiny bit of pressure of fuel management made exploration feel more valuable, in a surprisingly good way.
Warmth was absolutely conveyed, not just in mechanics and art themes but in the vibe and purpose of the game.
About the font issue: my guess is the itch.io embedded viewport dimensions is set to its default 640x360 instead of a multiple of what you designed for in-editor, and Godot project stretch mode is fractional. Man I'm about ready to swear off pixel fonts, outside of retro projects.
Fuuuuuurnace man, take me by the hand, lead me to the land!
Came out enjoying this one more than I expected for such a short game. The foundational gameplay is definitely there, it's just missing some runtime. Because of that there's not really much to comment on, but I did have a few legibility issues that came up while playing:
A cute little game about a person who happens to be a stove and their journey through an autumn forest. I really like the concept, and it’s nice to see such a charming idea brought to life! 🍂❤️
There are a few small things that I think could make the experience even better:
Of course, I understand that with limited time and resources, some things have to take a back seat. These are just a few ideas that came to mind while playing, rather than anything that takes away from what you’ve accomplished.
Overall, I think you’ve done a really nice job, especially considering you worked on this as a solo developer. Bringing a game like this to life is an achievement in itself, and I hope you can be proud of what you’ve made!
I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with for your next project. Keep up the great work! ❤️
Love the concept!
Very cool vibes. Continue this project. Great job!
Very Cool how the fire spread, great game !
