Overall Enjoyment & Value

It's instantly playable, clean, and surprisingly polished for a jam entry. While I usually prefer immersive, story-heavy spaces where words carry the weight, this game establishes a distinct mood right away. The physics give the vegetables a tactile, bottom-heavy weight that makes stacking them feel like tending an actual patch rather than just clearing a board. It’s challenging without feeling cheap, though puzzle physics can occasionally test your patience.

Production Velocity & Scope

For a jam build, the scope is  tight and complete. The inclusion of bespoke Celtic-inspired music cues, dynamic audio panning, localized text options, and physics-driven squashing shows how effectively automated workflows can expand a project's polish without sacrificing its soul.

Innovation & Experimentation

This is where the game truly shines, especially regarding the jam's thematic integration.

Final Verdict: A clever, beautifully styled distillation of mechanics that proves even a lightweight physics drop game can have narrative heart if you care enough about the roots.

Rutabagas aren't very well-known in Japan. This game's concept began with researching rutabagas. I learned that rutabagas are related to cabbage and turnips, and that the best way to connect pumpkins and rutabagas is through jack-o'-lanterns. I wanted to incorporate all of this into the game. There's no story, but I decided to include a short message at the end of the game to share some interesting facts.

Once the rules were decided, implementing the simple rules wasn't a major challenge. Therefore, I was able to dedicate time to adjusting the visuals and music. I believe I incorporated sufficient effects, considering the short timeframe, such as the depiction of the jack-o'-lantern's light, the exaggerated audio panning, and the completion animation of the pumpkin jack-o'-lantern.
