Because you need to warm up by clicking in the button, and then 1 fire effect will spawn, but be fast, or else the fire will be deleted.

I think it's a great headstart for the game, adding some sound is neccesary for sure. I would try adding maybe some narrative for it, while you click, I didn't really get why sprinkles appearing or the background color changed to red. Mechanically, maybe some tinkering about the way your heat level affect your cursor speed and etc?

It's something that's for sure. I found it quite funny
Not quite sure what the 1000 particles mean exactly, it did lag my browser lol
and after reaching 100/100 nothing happened.
But the limitation is here! Certainly abstract ^^
Bruuuuhhhhh. The game don't have still an end, it's in part a simulator you know. When I was testing the game my browser lagged too so I put less lag but you found the lag at 49 out of 100 fires, so I will need to make the game more polished at that point.

most of the lag came when pressing the mouse decently fast
