I gave it a try, but I had a hard time figuring out the mechanics, maybe because I'm not familiar with this type of game.

I have to say, I had a hard time figuring out the mechanics, even after watching the tutorial and looking at the reference images. I tried playing it with my wife, and we eventually figured out that pressing the spacebar at the right moment lets you move around the map. But even then, we struggled to make progress, perhaps because we couldn't get the game to run in a larger window, and the learning curve didn't feel very natural to us!
