Use of the limitation
I took the limitation literally: a runaway pumkin has to keep up the bonfire to stay warm in a cold dark forest.

Gastroduodenitis diet :( Just some yogurt.

Cool idea and great art!

Very cute! I like the concept of the game, and it fits the theme and limitation really well! I especially like the lighting and shadows, they really add to the atmosphere and vibe.

I realized a little too late that you actually have JUST enough wood to make it through the night lol, but I managed to win on the second try!

I enjoy this a lot. Great work!

Cute little game, the 2 other characters were surprisingly fun aswell, even by just joining the camp. I did run out of wood and lost T^T
Would love some music or something too ^^
Nice clock though, actually showing the arms and stuff

Cute game, nice story, good use of limitation, very clear though.

Such a cute pumpkin character!🎃

I wish there were more areas to explore, and some fun little easter eggs would be awesome.🥰🥰🥰

An incredibly adorable little game about pumpkins! 🎃❤️ Here are a few things I'd like to highlight:

  • Lightning is my absolute favorite part of the game! I love how the campfire casts light and creates shadows. It looks really cozy and charming.
  • Having them around makes the world feel less lonely. It would be even better if they had some little behaviors or interactions to make the world feel more alive.
  • Collecting planks and keeping the campfire going feels pretty satisfying. I'd love to see more developed level design that makes moving around enjoyable and encourages players to think a little about where they're going. That said, the current approach works quite well, too!

Of course, I understand that a game jam comes with tight time constraints, and the developers had other priorities to focus on. They had to decide where their time and effort would make the biggest difference.

So I'd consider these more as opportunities for future improvement rather than problems with the current game. Overall, I think you've created something really charming and successful! =D

Thank you so much for such a kind review! You're giving me so much inspiration, I'll surely consider improving this project based on what was mentioned here💗

I like this a bunch! I was surprised to meet some other characters along the way, it was a cute touch! The lighting and shadows were done really well! Good stuff!

cute story, would love some music and sound effects, which really tend to elevate games

Yup, that's what I thought too, and I will do something about it in future. Thanks!

This hidden talent of yours, why must you hide it from the rest of us?

Wow you have a hidden talent, don't hide it further!

I just played on my laptop, and damn, it was cool—it would be even better if there were levels with extra challenges, or at least a level editor.

Developer

Thank you! There's still a chance of this prototype thingy growing into something full and complex someday, I'll keep your ideas in mind.

It looks cool, but I couldn't play properly on the phone :(

I am truly sorry,  the controls are only adapted for keyboards at the time. But I'll try to add touchbuttons in the future. Thanks for visiting the page anyway!
